Official AO-MidAtl Meet After Thread

What a day! Couldn't have started out better (being my 18th birthday and all), but this event went off great! The weather was perfect... I mean perfect. Great temperature, comfortable breeze, sunny sky. The field was superb! We had a great showing, 21 people registered, and we had a BLAST. Ron Stern stopped by the group and played a few games with us too. It was just an incredible day of paintball.

I'd like to give a big thanks to Splatbrothers for having us. Your field is great and the pricing for the event was unbelievable.

Thecavemankevin, it was great playing with you/against you. Thanks A LOT for letting me use your battery pack and yellow pin. Never would have known what version my emag is w/o it, lol (v1.35 for any of you that placed bets). You did a great job organizing the event. So when's AO-MidAtl 2? ;)

Another big thanks out to all those that donated prizes for the mini-tourny.

And last but not least, a huge thank you to all of you that showed up and made this such an awesome AO-Day.

this ao day was great. the people were all nice as well as the weather. my gun on the other hand..... :mad: paint wasnt too nice my cocker either, or my halo, but i lived. but it fixed itself and i ended up having fun. thanks goes out to kevin for organizing this event as well as the 3 man tourney. thank you python (noah) for jumping in with us on team sex monkeys to win the 3 man mini tourney :dance:
i appreciate all the planning and contacting you did kevin, i know it is a big task to set one of these up.

then there is the one they call ho. we had a blast saturday night, even though our detour down the one way street of a ghetto and almost getting shot and run over by cars wasnt what i had in mind. then there is the "movie theater" that never existed i do not think. but the drunken halo made up for that. we had a great time with you and your crew, as well as jwalker and rogue that stopped through that night.

overall we had a great time and we will def be out for the next event. if there is another 3 man tourney i am calling the 2 other devilmags for my team ;) thanks again everyone!!! :cheers:

My thanks to all! It was an outstanding day of play - awesome field, excellent hosts (Ron & Don) & superb weather. What really made this day shine was not the weather or the field... but was due to those in attendance. I, along with other members of our scenario team (my son Jim, Trapper Davis and John Clark), were all made to feel welcomed. THANKS AOVA!

And a special thanks to thecavemankevin for his efforts; without which, this event would never have happened.

the scenario guys were great! thanks for coming out and playing, and even taking pics and reffing the 3 man tourney!! i got lit up in the woods house field by you guys....i was definately out of my element there. everyone was cool there and everyone got along, just good times.
also a big thanks goes out to everyone that donated items for the tounrey. i know cavemankev (kevin), ho (ho), python (noah) and fragtek (matt) donated.
i will be responding to this thread all day long since i have NOTHING else to do. :D

We were called team sex monkies!? haha truly nice playing with noah and always nice playing with you Joe and thanks for being good company on the ride up! It was an amazing time and I cannot wait for another one. Everything was great, even if the paint had as many dimples as I dont know what, but it still came out of the barrel :tard: . i remember one game at the spool field where i got so much splatter on my mask and hopper from hiding behind a little ceder tree that most of my mask was covered by yellow paint (the same game i was running around like nuts trying to grab my pod-open the hopper-fix my gun-and run away from 3 people).

Huh? I just signed up, selected "Upload Photo" on my CP Home navbar, put the category as "AO day" and started uploading. There are different galleries? How do I change that? Thanks for moving them.

the scroll menu on the left side of the upload screen has different categories in it.
In order to post your pictures in the gallery you want you must first go to a gallery in the photo gallery. choose a field or a sub gallery and click "post picture" on the top left hand side of the page.

The scroll menu does work but it is quite confusing for the first time user :)
(if the category is tabbed in the scroll menu [nudged to the right a bit] than that means that it's a sub gallery of a gallery)

yeah thats me Kev, Rogue took a couple of me in the house in that game. I was just kinda chillin in that room and then rogue is like "look at the birdie!" and I was all like "WTF!?" and so that is the reasoning for the quick look haha.
