hah just thot of posting it now! so it was a mag! i cant identify semis for beans so i consider it a good acomplishment for myself... anyway, show's over and they say that the guy died from adrenaline toxification or somfing. literally" scared to death". the impact of the shots caused a surge of adrenaline, causing blood vessels in heart to contract and burst. ah wel... bad for the mags, but to ppl who have no idea between the diff guns, there should b no problem in bad publicity for mags... i hope... they didnt follow safety either, no masks... :nono:

first off... csi: miami sux... vegas is waaay better.... they had a lvl7 hopper right minimag with no elbow on the pf... kinda lame... i really wish the media would stop picking on PB... i dont wanna sound like a whiner... but damn.. make a show about something productive.... wait... there is no such thing.... sounded just like a crown point barrel in the car scene..

Yup because the media is intentionally picking on paintball... thats it...
Its the normal internet blowing things way out of proportion.

It was definitely a crown point barrel--no arguments (have to love rewind and slo-mo!)
My wife was tired of hearing me gripe about the bad publicity for paintball and especially for AGD! (but she agreed, which is rare...)

All of the CSI clones are so out of touch with reality it's not funny. If it wasn't for Calleigh Duquesne, I wouldn't be watchin' it! A blonde with a southern accent and a gun... that's hot.

Paintball is still a growing sport and a simple tv show isn't going to stop it. People that would recognise a mag already know about how safe the sport is. Hopefully an episode like this will distract people who don't know anything about paintball guns from shooting people in public with them. I see it as a positive thing. Any publicity is good.

Not that I'm defending the use of paintball on TV but PUHLEEZE these things are taken straight from the papers (except the old man dying) everyday stupid people only buy paintball guns to do the VERY thing they showed on CSI , shoot up cars and shoot at unsuspecting people on the side of the road. I don't see murderers complaining about the way they are portrayed in the media

How many other things have been used to commit crimes on TV shows? Is it an affront to golf or baseball if clubs or bats are used? Is it an attack on chefs if a chef's knife is used?
Should the forestry industry be upset about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

well they probably would, actually.
I don't see murderers complaining about the way they are portrayed in the media
cause they actually did something wrong... paintballers are complaning about a negative portrayal that we dont deserve, since we have never done anything like this. although i do beleive that things are blown out of proportion and that this will probably have no effect whatsoever.

Isn't her name Emily Proctor or is that her name on the show?

Calleigh is the character's name. Emily Proctor is the actress. Either way you wanna look at it... she's the ONLY reason to watch that show.

I tend to agree. Watch the HBO movie "Breast Men" too. ;)
BTW, it was a pf/hr minimag. Crown Point barrel (11"). Newer Catalina CO2 tank. There was an elbow on the hopper (you could see it on the video tape segment) but in the opening shots, the hopper was at an angle like it was loose.
Oh, and you can see condensation on the tank in the 1st scene, so either the tank had JUST been filled or the crew was having some fun before the shoot. :D

What's the big deal? I shoot homeless people with my Mag from my car all the time... That’s just good clean fun! The kid they used was way to slow on the trigger though. I could've emptied the whole hopper on the ol' geezer in the amount of time they were there!
Sorry guys... Guess I'll have to try harder to keep that pesky troll away from my computer! ;)
Seriously though, I have to agree with msprince on this one. The producers are simply taking events from media coverage in order to make an entertaining program. I don't see anything wrong with it, and certainly don't think that they set out to intentionally bash the sport of paintball.
