Ok, I have two parties this weekend, and my lazy ... didn't get a costume yet.

I need input.

A few things:

It can't be too expensive. Under $50 would be great, over $100 isn't happening.

It can't be lame. Lame people will be shot.

I can't be naked. It's cold out in October, and no one wants to see that anyway.

I have to be able to get it in person. It's too late to order anything online.

My idea was to be Hunter S Thompson, but they didn't seem to have any safari vests are Sports Authority, plus thats a lot of shopping around (safari vest, bucket hat, flyswatter, aviator glasses, canvas boat shoes, cigarette holder).

So, start pumping out ideas. Again, if you are lame, I shoot you.

dress up as harry potter and go as lord1234.

*edit* my friend went as Hunter S. Thompson from Fear and Loathing, with the big hat and the glasses, etc.. It looked PERFECT. That's a great idea.

go as a ghost. sheets are cheap and you dont have to shop around for them, your local wal mart will have several to choose from.

Last try tonight to find a safari jacket for my Hunter Thompson costume. I already made up a press pass that I can laminate.

Thrift stores are KING!

My girlfriend and I are going to a 70's movie/TV themed party, so we decided to dress up as Smokey and the Bandit. She's going as The Bandit (hooray for mascara moustaches) and I'm going as Beuford T. Justice (the cop). I found an old Highway Patrol shirt with one of the patches still intact, a straw cowboy hat, brown uniform slacks and snakeskin cowboy boots for under $20. Then I hit up Party City and got a pack of silver sherriff's badges for $1. I already have a holster, and a broken airsoft pistol, so I'm set.

Take a sheet, put eye holes in it, but put a ton of other holes in it as well, and go as a holey sheet.
