Are the grey steel Automag bodies powder coated or beadblasted? :shooting:

beadblasted, if you asking cause you are planing on polishing one yes with some work they polish up nice sand them with a fine grit sand paper (like600) and then polish the crap out of it till it shines to you liking

Oh yeah!! The shine up nice if you put some time into it..........do a search on "ploishing body" and look for stuff written by (Doc Nickle) :cheers:

only 600 grit? Try much higher(in the thousands IIRC)... 600 is actually only one of the first stages...then working up to higher numbers, then polishing compounds etc. It pains me to think of some of the AOer's arms and how much work for some bodies.

Yeah i spent 3 hrs on my Mag and could hardly move after wards OH!! and the next DAY!!! :wow: but it was worth it

To restore the original blasted finish, possibly. Just don't blast the interior.
