Not quite sure on the entire purpose or message of it. What's BS, allowing people to put up text on an open forum? Oh the horror

Better ban AO then too!

AO is becoming PBN's annoying little sister.

hmmm, i actually like pbnation...not because of small talk, and the newbie forum, but because of the number of people there that actually contribute to the site. it is a HUGE website with a lot of info. sure, there are stupid, ignorant, immature foolish kids that go there and make an *** of themselves, but that doesnt mean everyone is like that. id say the most civil forum out of all that ive seen, is probably the evil forum on pbnation. there is a lot of knowledge on pbnation, but dont let the bad outweigh the good here....

PBN has some good info but most of it is bs.

some good info???? lots of good info. dont trust everything you see, but there are stickies in almost every forum that will answer almost any problem that you have. if not, then someone smart and credible will answer, and probably some not so smart people. still, it has more info than most other online forums.

In most cases PBN > AO.

In most cases PBN > AO.
I think it's more like "some". They are good for technical questions. But half of the replies would be like "go search". And a quarter would be flaming over some other topic. Don't ban PBN, that'd force flamers to other forums, and that'd be like the Nazi expansion effect.

Well,

Info On guns besides mags: PBN
B/S/T : PBN
Off-Topic: AO
PB-Talk: AO
News: PBN
Community: AO

For the most part it is a tossup, they both have strengths and weaknesses.

Before 2K3, the Off-Topic part would have to have gone to PBN. In it's golden age, Small Talk was absolutely hilarious.

if we banned PBNATION ....all the people on PBN would come to AO ...and then...we'd have another PBN...=o( ...

look around you can see it now ...AO has degraded in quality...

AO hasn't degraded in quality.... It's been the same for as long as I been here, 2000 posts long.

i like the fact that pbn is active. I can go on AO in the morning and read everything in the paintball talk, and come back in the evening and nothings changed. It seems that no one really posts. Its also quite hard to sell stuff here, since theres very little exposure. Theres less flaming, but theres less resources, less stuff to buy and sell and less information too.

That may be true but you need to contrast that with the fact that you get a lot more responcible sellers/buyers here. Having a good feedback thread on AO is like gold as far as I'm concerned.

banning pbn wouldn't be the best idea because then everyone will go to ao with their bs. Then again ao will get traffic and mags will get a bit more publicity (negative and positive)

I heart pbn.. Well not really.. But I love going in the different gun sections, and some of the pbtalk threads.. Especially threads like the HK one..

AO's a nice tight nit community (although getting bigger).. But if you want entertainment PBN is a +..

And PBN has all of the 12 year olds and stuff, I <3 when they say stupid stuff.. Provides lots of laughter :D

Got some more info on the purpose of this. Told that this was made a long time ago. Namely when PBC was still active! PBN was new, and PBC was getting up to the time where they were about to start charging members for admittance to the site. Was a PBC fan that made it.

But we all know what happened to the two forums since then, now don't we http://www.automags.org/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif

yeah - I dont know what the point of that is. You cant "ban" a website. If they were doing something illegal thier ISP could shut them down. I dont think AO has a real problem with PBN.

People here know - or learn real fast - you act civil here, and like a jerk at PBN.
