Help me out here guys, Im looking to get an HDTV and these are basically the choices I have narrowed it down to... looking for input, am I just nuts? My main concern, is am I missing something I should be seeing, should I wait to buy an HDTV for prices to come down?

Panasonic 32" HDTV Monitor (CT-32HXC14) $750

Sony 27" HDTV Monitor (KV-27HS420 $700

Samsung 27" HDTV (TX-P2775HD) $650

hdtv prices probably wont fall enough for you to wait. anyways, waiting sucks. panasonic is one of the best brands of electionics out there.... i have a 10 year old panasonic tv that is by far the best 15 inch or under tv i have ever seen. i have a 4 year old panasonic stereo that sounds great. and, all of their stuff is pretty cheap compared to other brands.

sony is good, but too expensive. go with the panasonic.

okay, I'd go with a sony.

we've got one of their top of the line Wega's 32" we only paied $1000 for it (dad took a 401k loan)

for true HD picture, you'll need DVI (digital video input) cables, they will run you about $100 for the cable.

Hehe..okay, I normally don't do this but since it's open...I LOVE MY SONY!!!

Look at this beauty in such a ghetto place! ;) Can you say 60 inches of pure video madness?! Goes well with my other toys too! :D

Oh Gibby, on the fold-out-leg table. That is the pinnacle of ghettoness.

I'd say the 32" panasonic. Sony makes good stuff, but my panasonic TV has been chugging away for 12 years with only one problem. It started making a high pitched whine a few years back. I hit it a few times, problem went away ;)

Remember, though there is only 5" difference in screen size, it amounts to an increase of over 25% in viewable area.
