Hey guys i slowly in the process of building a spimmy and i need a top cocking spyder. Does the raven nexion have the same internals as a spyder, valve, bolt, feed neck threads? Thanks

I think that Bad Company is now rocking clam-shelled Nexions, so i'll bet it's possible.

The Raven line is only cosmetically different from the standard Spyder line, but both are Kingman products.

Bad Company already uses "spimmys". I am going to try and do this coversion. I just need to know if a nexion has the same internals as a spyder. Such as : Does the nexion use a spyder valve and a spyder bolt?

Spyder and Raven guns are mosty identicle, since Kingman owns Raven and all.............

just curious, did you find a used nexion body, or are you planning on buying the whole thing? I've always loved that body.

p.s. Good luck with the conversion. I did it and love mine. I'm considering doing another and trying to make it look as much like a stock spyder as possible.

I'm not sure what i'm going to do. RAM3139 i would like to see pics of your spimmy. Did u do the coversion by urself or did u have someone do it for you? How much did it cost you do ths coversion? I have one question on the coversion for you. What is the operating pressure of a spimmy. does it stay at hight pressure or is it coverted to low pressure. Thanks.

I dont have a digital camera, so I cant get pictures for you. I did it on an Esprit body, milled for topcocking. I did the conversion myself. I think it cost me around 350, w/o the body. It can be done for cheaper, I just bought some parts new, since I didnt have the patience to wait for good deals on used stuff.
It will go to low pressure, same as a normal timmy. I run around 75psi out of the lpr into the noid. No guage on the inline reg. Let me know if you have any other questions.

how bout you use the money that you saved by doing the conversion vs getting a new timmy..and buy a digital camera and take pics for us :)

So I would have to buy a low pressure tank?

no, your inline regulator would regulate a HP tank just fine...

Someday I'll get around to borrowing one of my friends digital cameras and taking pics, but theres still more work to be done. I need a new trigger after my dremel attacked the old one, and then I have to get eveerything annoed to match.
