Hey i went into my local hobbyshop and bought some 40weight AE shock oil thats 100% silicone for 3$. I figured that if i couldnt find any KC Oil this would come next. So what do you guys think? there was either 20weight, 40 or 60 weight. Do you think i should be fine with the stuff i bought?

All I use is 25wt pure silicone shock oil. I couldn't be happier. I have had no problems whatsoever.

Silicone oil is great stuff. Very slippery. The thinner the better for pneumatic paintball guns. ;)

Excuse my ignorance but the thinner the oil the lower the weight? So since i bought 40 weight i should drop down to 25weight which is thinner? :ninja:

Probably. It's not rocket science. I only bought 25wt because it's what they had.

You will be fine.

I've been doing this for a couple years now.

I would go with 20wt. Anything much higher than that is too thick for pneumatics.

I personally use 10wt.

Here's a good source for 10 wt.
