Hey guys,

I'm going to get some headphones for xmas but not sure what I want. I want pretty good ones, not cheapo 20 dollar ones. Price range 0-100. Less is better. I don't want really big headphones. I have been considering Shure E2c headphones, they would be good for working out. I really want noise cancelling headphones.

Btw, earbud headphones aren't the only things I want, since I have the standard ipod ones.

I'm a BIG fan of Sennheiser, I have many pairs. Don't know if this is your style but these might be something your interested in.

I use these on my mp3 player for when I go running/working out. I've had them for years and they work good as new.

I've got some wireless RCA WHP160T headphones that seem pretty nice to me.
I kept jerking the cords out of my headphones so I finally was just like screw it and I got some wireless ones. These are pretty nice, they could probably use a little more padding but its all good. The only thing is you have to remember to plug the charger cord into them when you aren't using them.
I'm not an audiophile so I couldn't tell you how they sound. They sound fine to me :)
They're like $100 headphones but I got some refurbished ones on ebay for $20 :)

Edit: I wouldn't really use these with a portable cd player, I dont know what you want the headphones for but these are nice for my computer.

Sorry Kev, but Sony makes some of the crappiest, mass produced crap out there, including ALOT of their headphones. Dont expect to get quality from them unless your willing to spend $150-200, and usually, if not always, you can find better products for cheaper.

I'd say probably the best bang for your buck would be these..

Mango is pretty correct in saying Sennheiser knows what they are doing. These will compete with any of the top heaphones out there, besides the super top of the line ones. Also

I doubt your DJing either, so you dont need any fancy stuff :). Just some good sounds.

get a pair of Grados SR60s if you wanna spend 60-70
get a pair of Grados SR80s if you wanna spand 80-90

If you already have iPod buds i would use those for working out and get a nice pair of Grados for listening to music the way it is meant to be listned to.

Grados are open air and sound fantastic. If you play games, you will love them. movies sound better on my grados then on my 5.1 logitech system.

the rest of the stuff we have is DVD+/- RW burneres (4 of em), DV-CAM HD Cameras (Really F'N nice), Monitors and TVs. I've ben happy with the stuff I've bought from Sony. Havn't found better stuff...adn the DJ headpones we have make sound so beautiful..

I don't want sony. Our home entertainment system by them is pretty weak. Plus, my little brother has some sony headphones that were 100 bucks that are decent, not worth the money though.

Gradooooooooooooo! Not exactly the best headphones for lugging around in your bag, BUT, they sound DAMN good! I use a pair of Sony V600s for traveling around. They fold down, which is nice for bag space. Keep your ears warm in the winter too! :headbang:

I use a pair of Sony v700's for my DJing and when I'm travelling. They sound great.

Sony isn't exactly for the super-demanding audiophile or "prosumer" level buyers. But they are top-grade for consumer electronics.

They are great for 99% of the population or so.

I agree with mango though.

Get a pair of Stax phones. They should only set you back a couple grand. :D

I agree with Mango, the Sienhieser's ahave a great sound, but when i got headphones a while back i couldn't justify the price tag, so I looked into others. I found a pair made by Koss they have a lieftime warranty and are great sounding for the money. I think i got the from Radio Shack. I'm not sure if they are still available, as i got them a number of years ago.

My Koss headphones basically fell apart.

And no warranty either.
