I want to buy a tank. A 45 cu in tank.

I don't need a reg. I have two regs in my desk drawer. I have tons of regs. I have regs everywhere I look. I don't need a reg! I need a tank!

Why the hell is it so hard to find somewhere that sells tanks? NOBODY sells tanks. I'm gonna have to find another blasted tank/reg I don't need and put the reg in the reg drawer with the rest. It's messed I tell ya.

Why?

b/c they wouldn't sell good. most ppl don't wanna pay for an airsmith to put a reg on a bottle they just paid $xxx for. i'm sure you've seen threads in the air systems forum '68/45 adj f/s/t!! will trade fro 114/45 adj!'

SP, Crossfire I would guess, Luxfer I think is the company that makes many of the tanks - talk to a dive shop you might find others

There is a company here in Maryland that manufactures almost all of the tanks that are out there for paintball use, called Carleton, Pressure Technology Division... Maybe you could buy a tank from them, or maybe they only sell in bulk...

www.pbgear.com sells them. They list them in the co2 tank sections for some reason. I'm pretty sure they carry 45 or 47 or whatever. Ouch though, they're like $200 a peice for a 4500psi bottle.

They are the same price as a tank with a preset reg on it... Can someone say: rip off? :cuss:

Well preset regs arnt the expensive part...you can get on/offs from SP for like $20 why dont you just buy everything and then sell the regs? like maybe on ebay...or try here.

that's what I have done in the past, the point is, I shouldn't have to.

Yeah I know Smart Parts sells just the tank part, but it's prolly the same price as if you bought the reg with it.

Most places stopped selling bottles without regs after that mother got killed by a co2 tank. Low liability is good liability. Make sure Tuna reminds you of the torq spec for putting regs on bottles. :D

Save me one of those Tuna. I never got a call back from Jon about them long ago. I guess you got em all? I got an older Metal 3K Flatline I should put a fiber on. Are these 3K tanks?

AA did indeed have the tanks listed on their site last time I looked.

No that's not a rip off. It's the reality of bulk purchasing and manufacturing/assembly.

But, to get a tank you can try Carleton or luxfer. A good SCUBA shop might have catalogues.

And, for the extra regulators kicking around, maybe it would be worth looking at a bulk purchase of tanks. :)

Liability reasons. Alot of stores and companies are no longer selling and installing anti syphon kits. Same basic thing they only want national brands installing and serviceing HPA tanks, they don't want to be the company that sold you the tank that has a freak accident that occurs one in every 18 billion times.

All they have are 68's and 88's though. About those extra regs- I might be interested in one if the price is right. Shoot me a PM or something (don't email me though cause I prolly wont get it) and LMK what you got. 4500 preferred.
