Is it possible to have the old X-mag body remilled to a CnC one?

Possible, but improbable and not cheap im sure.
You would need an above average manchinist to do it for you, it would take forever to get it back, and you would probably need one for him to copy.

Im pretty sure it would be a longshot

Id try contacting Hostage here on AO. I think he did some milling on the Euro style body to resemble the Xmag milling. Search for his posts, I think he had a thread on his setup he made. Maybe it was a friend he used for the actual milling.

there is a lot lot lot of c&c work in an xmag, so i think your only hope would be to get the cad data from AGD, and there is a zero probability of that

Prolly is... perhaps AGDE can re-mill em as they were the ones milling em from the beginning.. :)

I have no clue of how the miisl work, but wont they need some sort of coordinates? Dont I need to make it in a CAD first?

Can you post some pics of your X-mag, please? I couln't find any pics of the older X-mag bodies.

id suggest instead of just trying to get it milled like the cnc x-mags, whynot make it custom milled? id be really sweet and one of a kind then

pending on how much milling is being done then yes, however im sure that cheaper, and more likely to happen option would be to use less extensive milling done free hand, not through a cad program

kinda like the extra milling done to the chimera sfl emag.

Here is the thread (http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=113723)
I think the pics might be missing, or his host is down. But he built one up from Euro body. Put a superman engraving into the battery pack.
