Well I'm about to get a new automag and I've got a few questions on things I can do to it...

Am I able to take the piece, that is circled, off...

And attach the forgrip onto the gun like this...

The main reason I'm asking is because, if I'm able to, I want to go with a red and black theme with my mag, not red black and nickel. It's not really a big deal to me, with looks. I just wanna make sure, otherwise I'm going with a black and nickel theme.

i believe it is possible only that u have to punch out a hole that was drilled for it i think and it is under the body and on the topside of therail u should be able to use the same vert air

i think

Yes its true. If you remove the body you'll see the area in the rail that needs to be punched through. It doesn't take much. I did mine the same way.

It'd be easier if you just bought a new rail all together. The thing about that stock rail is that it won't fit the single tapped VAs (the one's made for AM/MM rails), the AM/MM VAs have a groove to fit on the rail. As for the RT rail doesn't have a groove, it's flat, if you wanted to mount the RT VA, you'd have to drill 2 holes in the rail with the correct distance apart to screw the RT VA on, the RT VA has 2 tapped holes to screw onto the mounting bracket.

Let me know if you're confused, I think I am.... :tard:

Actually, youre fine with using the RTP ASA, just using one screw. Tighten it down real good, and your rocking (that's what I have done)

once you get the mounting bracket off the rail, how do you get the screws out of the foregrip and attach them to the rail? i cant get the bracket off the foregrip. ive already punched a hole into the rail. when i get the screws off, how do i attach the forgrip to the rail. how would i use the screws that were on the bracket and foregrip. its upside down, yo screw the screws into the foregrip how would you put the screws into the foregrip backwards? im confused!

mag88888- remove the grip from the mounting bracket by unscrewing the 2 screws that hold it on. Once you have done that insert one of those same screws through the hole you punched through the rail and thread it into one of the holes on the top of the front grip. Tighten until secure.

Theres really no need to drill a second hole unless you want it absolutly complealty secured down. I just attached the grip to my friends RT-pro withthout using the second screw and it dosent move an inch if tightened down properly.
