When I first got my Mag, I got it with the Intelliframe, since it seemed more "normal" and I thought the Y might be uncomfortable, but when I went to Cup here in Orlando, AGD had a RT with the Y-grip, so I tried it out, it felt so much more comfortable and natural for me, I bought it and took off the Intelliframe and haven't regretted that decision. If you can find someone near you with a Y, defintely try it out and see whether you like it or not.

Y>>>intelli. It's all preference though.

i think you should find some one who has a intell and on w/ a y and see which one is better. I heard that the y grip put your hand in a better position. Also you could go with a z frame

This is going to sound completely stuid and obvious, but I cannot point worth beans with the Y frames. Too many years of playing with a 45 and it just doesn't feel right to me. I've played with Verts and even a Z frame, nothing feels quite as nice to me as a good 'ol 45 or 68 frame.

I really like the weird looks I get when I go out to the field with my Y, I'm the guy with the shocker that has a wierd frame at my field.

But you know, I am kind of a person who likes being weird.

Its also really comfortable to shoot, IMO.

its presonal preferance, i prefer 45* frames, so, thats what i voted for, but, i really cant decide for you, try both if you can, or, a megaphone has a Y type frame if you can find one lol

I've never really extensively used anything but a 45 frame, so that's what I'd go for. It's hard to be UNcomfortable with them, so they're always a safe bet if you have no clue.

But Id probably go for a 90 degree grip over the y-grip just based upon how I think each would feel. I don't think I'd want to have my hand tilted back at all (even if only slightly) by the Y.

It's all personal preference.

i know it is personal preference but no one i play with or have played with have ever played with a mag let alone a intelli or y mag. So i dont know which and i was going to base my desision off this poll so keep the votes coming and can i get a few pros and cons of both

the y for me was kinda wierd, but the intelli offers not benefits over a normal grip. i found myself holding the top part of the y-grip like a 90 degree. i def liked the y better than a .45, i would get a vert if i were you.

thats my thought thou.

If I go to tuck my tank into my shoulder with my 'mag and the normal carbon fiber gripframe on it, my wrist kinks up at a rather painful angle. With my y-grip, my wrist stays straighter and feels a whole heck of a lot better.
I'd have bought a z-grip if I could have found one when I was putting together my mag. The Y-grip serves it's purpose and I like it, so I use it.

What's funny is I have a megaphone under my computer desk and didn't really realize it had a grip on it that is similar to a y grip. That's crazy.
