I recently purchased an RT classic for cheap and upgraded to LVL10, e-hopper, etc. I wanted to change the forward gas-through/grip and ordered vertical adapter from AGD so I can put on a new gas through. However when I completely disassembled the gun there was this copper looking bulb that allows pressure to flow into, inside the original gas through grip that will not fit into the new vertical adapter I bought. My question is, do I need to use this brass bulb thing or not? Its like a diffuser I guess. I couldnt find the name of it or anything from gun sheets either. PLEASE HELP

It's a filter and it was used in the early RT's as compressed air was not always "cleaned" compressed air. You will be just fine with it out.

Thanks a bunch man. I really appreciate it. The ver. adapter stock is sorta crappy. the rubber grip rotates around too much for me. Any ideas about a good looking chromish gas through grip?
