Does anyone know what the lightest 68/45 bottle/reg is out there. I did a search and only found speculation... no numbers or facts. As of now my Flatline is a bit heavy with my xmag and Im curious to find out if I can lighten my setup a pound or two ;). I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

crossfire and dye tanks are the lighest ive held. i think that most people agree that crossfires are better than dye, if not the best presets out there. plus dye is so overpriced....

Mac Dev tanks are the lightest. The Conquest (adjustable) is lighter than any screw-in. MD just brought back the Legion-Air screw-in tank. I'd imagine it's the lightest tank on the market... it uses the same bottle as the Conquest.

Hello, I was about to post the same thread. I have an x mag and want to make it as light as possible. how about the worr tanks. But the conquest is really the lighest. I plan on getting a stubby.

had one and i loved it. lights short and nice. fast recharging rate.!!

i trade it for a 68 3000 flatline witch i think i get alot more shoots from and a little lighter

crossfire hands down

No, sorry... the Mac Dev tanks are indeed lighter. I've owned a Crossfire tank and they are heavier than a Conquest.

nato, ill let you borrow one of my dyanflows to try out sometime if you want. we gotta get together anyway and pay a tourney or something this winter.

in my experience, my dynaflow is only slightly heavier than the conquest i had.

note: conquests will not work with mags! theyre lp output adjustables, i just traded the one i used on my cocker away for another dynaflow.

as for screw ins, ive found that the pmi reg is far lighter than the crossfire reg.

If the new macdev tank is lighter (significantly) then my crossfire, I plan to pickup a 45/45 :D

Will you guys be so kind as to weigh your tanks whether it be a crossfire, pmi, conquest or whatever else you think is the lighest. LMK Thanks!

Hey guys. I am pretty short and am getting an Xmag. Since I don't want a heavy setup I am selling my halo to get a empire realoder and am getting rid of my 88/45 pe tank. I was wondering since the Xmag is said to be a pretty long gun, should I get a 68/45 crossfire or a 70/45? thank-j00.:D

I meant that since I am short my arms are somewhat short. That's why I was asking :P

The 70 Stubby is the same length as a 45 but as big around as an 88. Feels great, but they're a bit heavy.

The Conquest is definately much lighter than the Crossfires (I've had 3). Right now I'm using a 45/45 Conquest, feels great, super light. I might get a LegionAir II sometime just for the ease of use of a screw in.

Could someone please link me to a legion air? I am just sort of skeptical about getting a 45/45 because of the horrible efficiency mags get.

Conquests won't work on xmags. Either get the legion for preset, or a dynaflow for adjustable.

THE LIGHTEST tank IS the dynaflow. I have had two dynas and four mac dev's and weighed them all. Dyna is lighter but only by a dozen or so grams.

Hey tony, dont they make high flow adjustable conquests.

nato

I dont think they have high flow conquests... also I tried emailing macdev for 45/45 68/45 weights on the legionair and conquests but unfortunatly they are unable to reply to AOL accounts... if someone could do us a favor and email them from your non-aol account and post their reply then that would rock hard.

Hey tony, dont they make high flow adjustable conquests.

No, they only make low pressure ones, even though they are adjustable, only up to 500 psi. You can push them up to 700 psi, but you run risks of ruining your system. 700 is still pretty low for a mag.

NATO, if this was PBN, id flame you so bad for being too weak to hold up your xmag and flatline

dont you remember the problems i had with my conquest and my rt?

THE LIGHTEST tank IS the dynaflow.

there's no way a dynaflow can be lighter than say, a centerflag screw in.

What I want to know, is if there's a dime's bit of difference in the actual bottle weights between luxfer, carelton, sci or whoever else.

true, true. I hate screw ins anyway.

with a screw-in, you have to also add the weight of the ASA when comparing that setup vs. a flatline or dynaflow, those systems aren't screw-ins.

After emailing Mac Dev I got this email in reply...

"Leagionair 45/4500 weighs 2 lbs 4 oz
71/4500 weighs 2lbs 11 oz

conquest 45/4500 weighs 2 lb 10 oz
71/4500 weighs 3 lbs 1 oz

that doesn't say how much the reg itself weighs. You have to look at which bottle you're going to use. ie. carleton weighs more or less than say a nitroduck. I guess you're going to have to figure out which bottle weighs the least, and THEN which reg weighs the least not forgetting the gross weight including asa adapter. I think the lightest asa adapter setup is the UniMount. Anyone want to correct me on this? This might be getting too technical, but a gram is a gram.
