View Full Version : Minimum PSI To Operate X-Valve?

Is there a minimum pressure that needs to be in my HPA tank in order for my X-valve to work? I ask because it doesn't want to gas up if the tank has under 1500psi in it. I recently purchased a used Flatline 68/3k and can't get my gun to gas up. I've got about 825psi going into the valve from the Flatline (yes, the Flatline works...)

Should I just fill my tank to the max and tweak my valve from there?

Once the tank dips below 500-600psi generally, the valve won't recharge. All valves are different though. Mine stops at 400-500psi.

If you mean what input you need, I believe 650psi is the minimum. But that'll give you really bad recharge.

Try turning up the velocity. You've got a level 10, so the internal operating pressure is a bit higher.

as dayspring said, turn up your velocity. also note that air guages can be off by as much as 10% of their face. meaning that a 1200 pis gauge can be off by 120psi, or a 5000psi gauge can be off by as much as 500psi

Thanks for the info--I had no idea that the pressure gauges could be off by that much (10%)!

The reason is because the guages are micro-guages. It's hard to make those accurate because they read by 200 psi per mark.
