I just posted an AGD item you won't see again. It's an unopened Sharpshooter LS (#00447). I couldn't even post a pic of the sight, because I don't want to open the box, so I posted the pic of the short version from the AGD site and a pic of the box. I had two of these but gave one to Tom K for the AGD collection. It's just a 3 day auction and here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7122783762

Due to the rarity of this item I am going to overlook its posting in Talk because I am certain its of general interest to the Membership.

Dont quote me on this, but my guess is that it goes on the AM/MM rails, which have a sight mounting rail thingy built into them if you havent noticed.

The SharpShooter was not designed for the Automag. It was developed before the Mag was even built. It can fit any gun that has a sight rail.

The first version was short. The 2nd version was longer (LS) it is almost 7" in length.

AGD made slide on sight rails for the Automags\Minimags. This slides onto a standard dovetail. This sight, more than likely, will not see any field use. It's more for someone who collects paintball memorabilia. It's very "old school". I posted a link to the AGD museum picture on the listing so you can see what they look like. Hope this answers most of the questions.

on AGD's site it says there is only 2 known in existance, so is the one on ebay one of the two known ones or does this make 3?

Tom is wrong about the number that exists. I already have three.

$113.50 for an ironsight?!?! Are you friggin insane? I don't care how rare it is! Unless it's made out of solid gold, thats too high IMO..............

Muzikman
12-21-2004, 02:09 AM
Well, you realize that if it was solid gold that it would be worth a bit more than $113 right? You pay for rarity...I am trying to corner the market with them so that I can drive up the price. As it is, I own more than are suppose to exist;)

Besides...it's only $113...hell people spend twice that in just paint for a tournament.

Insane? Yes, but in a good way.

Some people just have the utmost respect for what Tom has done for paintball therefore his products are very valuable to us.

And a Van Gough is nothing more than paint and canvas but they can still go for $76,000,000.00!

Well, now we'll find out what an Enforcer is worth to the collectors out there. I just listed one of those on a 3-day auction. These were made long before most of the users here ever started playing. They were made back in 1989-1990.

There's, yet again, another odd item most of you have, probably, never seen. A Puma pump gun from the late 80's.

SteveD

I know. I'm saturating the market with all of these treasures. I'm just cleaning house before the end of the year and I'm also dumping a lot of new gear, too. If you look at the "view sellers other auctions" link on those listings you'll see many others. I've closed a dozen more auctions in the last couple of weeks.

There are two pieces I need. Mask and PMI Turbo valve.

Other than that...

I need a stock Minimag, 4500 Flatline, 4500 Flatline Prototype, Xmag, Yframe, ULE Warp body, TacOne, and Xvalve. I think I own atleast one of every AGD product.

i have a mask...not selling though!

my neighbor has A.I.R. valve # 4. he may be open to offers. it's been converted to level 7 though so it's not original.
