does anyone know if it's possible to modify a spyder shutter to use a top cocking bolt? i'm looking at a shutter as a backup, but the only thing about it i don't like is the back cocking bolt.

thanks for the input.

Yes, there are numerous top cocking bolts available for spyders. You will also have to remove the sight rail/beavertail and drill a slot in the top of the body.

Here's a top-cocking ShockTech Superfly from pbgear.com (http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=uevJD_7i5pfJlb8q6fYJp_RE8dhNj1FNyJ4=?Pro ductID=ljisFAY7mlwAAAD8bZLHR1xz)

I had the top cocking mod done to a few blowbacks. My friend, who owns a machine shop, cut a slot in the body and removed the rear cocking and replaced it with a top cocking knob. Pretty easy if you know the right people. ;)
