My Timmy was working awesome. I've got an Alias I've had it for quite some time. All of a sudden one day the eyes just stopped working and I got the asterix on the board. I cleaned them, unplugged them and stuff and it still happens even if i don't chop. Do I just need to buy new eyes or is it more than that?

Thanks.

99% of the time it's an alignment issue.

Make sure they are clean of course, and they are pluggged in properly and that the o-rings are still there and looking good.

What often works well is to take a small square of paper and lay it on the eye before putting the covers back on. It will put more pressure on the eye in the eye hole and normally squares up alignment issues.

Hope that helps.

Jay.

Alright I'll try that. Would putting new o rings on help too?

Yep, make sure the eyes are clean. I had the same problem and eventually bought these, that worked pretty darn good! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10554&item=7122154353&rd=1

If you have any other questions about timmies check out www.IntimidatorOwners.com, it isn't extremely active like PBN or AO but it is pretty helpful.

No problem. :)

Personally, I wouldn't worry about changing the eyes. They typically hold up pretty well overall.

Eh. Its only 14 bucks. And that way I'll always have a spare set if I ever need them.
