looking for some cool, beginner, guitar rifs to learn

Alrite well i've had my guitar for a year, and never really played AT ALL... and so Im not that great at all I can play some riffs from

Probly the hardest thing i learned to play was the intro to What's my age again, by blink 182... By the way I have an acoustic

Guys, I know alot of cool riff's excist, im asking for some I can learn... Im an extreme beginner and just looking to find some cool stuff to play... and no i'm bot showing off, im actually embaressed :(

lol Jon Petrucci is a mad man. He is something else with a guitar. A Change of Seasons one big 25 minute guitar fest. They're an awesome band.

Maybe Crazy Train or Ironman good easy riffs to learn.

The best ever is Red Hot Chili Peppers "Times Like These". The whole song is a collection of 3 riffs, and its great to play on acoustic. Plus its fast, but easy. Now if you want something fun to play around with, either "Put your lights on" by Santana or "Carry on wayward son" by Kansas. Both are amazing too.

Cant go wrong with metallica

my first song i learned was nothing else matters off the black album

after that was enter sandman
then fade to black
then sanitarium(has the coolest solos)

my point.
learn metallica, then dream theater, because they cover metallica the way it should be covered
and yes, the new album from M is a travesty
