On/Off stopping X-Valve from going in

Just bought an X-Valve and the On/Off is stopping the X-Valve from going in. I tried it on my Minimag an it worked fine, it just will not go in my Micromag :confused:

from what i have read there have always been tolerance issues with the micromag So that could be the problem?

I took it out and it goes in fine, the on/off is just sticking out barely which is causing it to stop. Would sanding the on/off a little affect it in any way? That is the only thing I can think of that would solve this problem.

there has been similar problems with x-valves in micromags.

Don't force it in, you shouldn't have to and it will probably damage the xvalve or your micromag..

Had the same problem... the tolerances are all diffrent... i just pushed mine in ... it scrapped a little of the anno off the inside and was tight a couple of times taking it in and out but it works fine now... btw you will prolly have to shave you on/off pin to get your xvalve working right/its best

The pin isnt stopping it, its the goldish piece.

I know its the goldish piece... i am just telling you about your potential next problem aswell... if your gun doesnt shoot dont be surprised.... just start shaving your pin ;)

I do not know what a shim is, but I am going to sand down the on/off till it is flush with the xvalve unless some one says other wise.

Put the field strip screw in the frame/body and push the on/off up when you slide the valve in.

Never thought about doing that, just tried it and it worked. Thank you, you saved me from having to sand it down.

No prob, It was something I had to do for years with my Micromag. On the down side I could not install a ULT because of it.

i have a micromag and had some issues putting in the reactor on/off i am getting a ULE today on my way home. i know with the reactor i could use my bolt screw to push down the on off when placing the bolt into the body and it would allow it to slide in fine. once the on off gets some gass through it it should be fine. but when i take it apart i have to do it all over again.

have you checked your rail bushing to see that its not the cause of the stopping.??
