Just what the title states, what is the speed difference bettween the LVL 10 and LVL 7 on a DevilMag.

is it anything drastic does anybody have an actual CPS read out comparing the 2.

I have not heard of any speed difference, but I do remember hearing about X-mag owners using the Level 7 for increased air effeciency.

I don't think it's so much a speed difference as it is an efficiency difference.

Or we could look in the GADevil thread

As far as I know the LVL7 is only faster because it is lighter. GADevil uses it because of that and because you don't need LX with the Devilamag eyes.

ya I already looked in his thread I was just wondering if anyone knew the exact speed difference because I heard some people say that the LVL 7 was faster.

Heres the info you're looking for: http://www.automags.org/resource/level10/index.shtml#work
Level 7 moves at a speed of about 20fps, level 10 in its low pressure stage is only moving about 4-6, then accelerates to about 15.
However, I don't think the bolt speed of the level 10 at all limits the possible cps time, im sure it is much faster than the valve itself. So the devilmag uses level 7 simply for simplicity and efficiency.

i do belive that the speed difference is not noticible. the main reason for GA devil to go to level 7 voamie bolts is because he was wearing through lvl 10 orings at an alarming rate from how fast his markers were shooting! due to the fact that he has eyes this made lvl 10 more of a nusence to have so he switched over to lvl 7!

he was wearing thru the carrier o-rings? how bad was the wearing thru them? what would it take to switch my valve to a LVL 7 would i just take off the LVL 10 and slap on the LVL 7 or would i have to change my internals.

You'd have to pull the carrier "stuff" out of the powertube and put in a L7 spacer and o-ring.

I prefer the L7 bolt. set it up with foamie, a plastic nubin, good/fast/reliable loader, and quality paint......no breaking paint.

L10 and small leak issues = drive me crazy.
