View Full Version : How Many E-Mag Magnets???

I just got my E-Mag today and watched the video and then took it apart. In the video they showed 3 magnets in the grip frame for the trigger return and said it could hold as many as 4. My gun only has one in the frame and it did not come with any more. Should it have come with only one magnet or should there have been more in the box? With what the gun costs I would think that a few little magnets would not put AGD in the red!!!

There should have been two, we stopped putting 4 in because no one used that many. Most people like just one but if you want another call the office on Monday. Sorry for shorting you.

Hey AGD!!! While we are on the subjet of shorting me. I bought the e-mag through PaintballGear. I ordered a red one. They just got the gun in yesterday and I picked it up today. The box was stapled shut and sealed. The barrel in the box for my red e-mag is black. I paid more for a red gun and I got a red gun with a black barrel. I tried to call PBG when I noticed it but they were already closed. Do I need to go through PBG to get this fixed or do I go through AGD????

Mine came with the proper two - but I normally run it with one, and the trigger adjusted fairly short (about as short as it could go, but still ALWAYS fire on every pull).

See you on the field,

Being that I'm a toolmaker and have WAY too much spare time, I did a "trigger job" on my E-Mag. Here's what I did.

1. Removed the pin the the trigger pivots on, and replaced it with a hardened, .1265" gauge pin, ground to the the proper length. This pin fits perfectly through the trigger, and still allows it to swing freely.

2. I bought some 1/8" ID X 3/16" OD X .004" thick washers (shims, actually) I put 1 on each side of the trigger. Got 'em from www.MSCdirect.com 10 for .43 cents

3. I set the trigger travel to exactly .02" (.5 m/m), with just a little bit of overtravel after the firing point.

These 2 mods have eliminated almost all side to side play in the trigger, yet the trigger still moves freely when no magnets are installed.

I've been running all 4 magnets for the last few weeks. I really don't notice THAT much of a difference from 2 (or 3), I always play with gloves, and it really helps me eliminate those "accidental discharges". (mental note to myself, keep finger off the trigger!)

I'm running one magnet only. I could put a spacer below that, but there would be no point.

My E-Mag came with three magnets and I like it with three.

Hey AGD!!! I have not had a chance to call this week about my barrel and magnets. I will however be at the tech class tomorrow. I will bring the barrel with me that came with the gun. I need a red centerfeed barrel for my red emag. The barrel that came with the gun was black. Plus another magnet. See you in the morning!!!

Mine came with 3 and I run it with 2. I noticed enough of a difference to leave one out.

I dunno how many I got. Unlike most of you I loved the trigger right out of the box so I saw no need to fix something that wasn't broken. But come to think of it...I guess I oughta find out why it's working so good...;)

Yep, you should tear it apart...it's fun. I did'nt mess with the travel just the weight. And as good as the trigger is out of the box, it may be..dare I say it..better after you mess with it? You can always set it back. nudge nudge

where did you get the .1265" gauge pin?

Russ

again, from MSC. I used a .126"+ pin. You may need a different one, though. You may also need to ream the frame to accept the pin.

Here's the pins...
