Has anyone seen plans to fill a scuba tank off of a compressor?

I'm looking for some blue prints, a parts list and an estimated cost to build a rig to fill a scuba tank off of my compressor. It doesn't have to be fancy, just functional! :cool:

A standard household or shop compressor can't do it. PB compressors are thousands of dollars. I would question the safety of ANY plans you may find to make a compressor that will produce 3000 PSI.

Homemade 3000psi compresser = you dead. Unless of course your an engineer with thousands of spare dollars. If you seriously want to fill your own scuba look on ebay- real 3000psi 3 stage compressors go for ~ 10 Large.

u can get a scuba compressor as said above, but they didnt mention that it takes 20 minutes to fill :D

I have a complete booster setup 100:1 that with the aid of 800psi input from a scuba tank and 150psi shop air you can achieve 10000 psi in smaller volumes like paintball tanks. It will take a while to fill a 6000 psi bulk tank. Brand new never used. Comes with some primo outragous regulators and primo 10000 psi liquid filled gauges. Aircraft quality. Airlines are all you need to make it operational. Email me if interested.

I bel;ieve there is also a bicycle style manual pump that can be used for filling SCUBA tanks. I cannot even imagine how long it would take or how high it would fill. Maybe Lance Armstrong could stop by for fills now and then :)

The bike pump styles only usually go up to about 3000 PSI, a few more expensive models can do about 3300 PSI. Logun which makes one of those hand pumps also makes an electric model that also only goes up to 3000 PSI and goes for around $1200.

I've been looking around at maybe getting one of the hand pump styles to play with but I've never seen anyone talk about filling paintball tanks with them. I've found a few articles where they talk about filling the air rifles they are made for and that taking about 50 or so strokes, but the tanks on those rifles are much smaller than a standard paintball air tank.
