hey guys i just got a foregrip in the mail that i ordered on ebay for my 68 classic.... but im not quite sure how to install it? it came with no instructions! it has a hole on the top where i can screw it in, but the frame of my mag does not have an area where i can attatch it?? :confused: am i going to have to drill through the frame?! please help guys, i need this done by sunday lol

If I recall, the AM/MM rail didn't have the front mounting hole punched through. I did mine with a drill press (back in the day). If you take the body off the rail, you'll see a partially drilled hole there. You'll need to drill out that partial hole to mount the foregrip or a vert ASA.

yes, thanks that does help.. i was looking at that partial hole..... wondering if a dremel coul make it through.. lol... my grandpa has a drill press... i wouldnt drill all the way through would i?? im just trying to visualize it in my head before i mess something up..

It's been way to long for me to remember the specifics... But you want to drill the center part out - that is where the bolt that goes into the top of your grip goes - but not the entire recessed part. That is where the bolt head will catch on the rail, but stil be recessed and out of the way of attaching the body.

You shouldn't have to drill it out. I popped mine out with a screwdriver a little force. That layer of metal is very thin.

:) too late now, its now drilled out and installed beautifully... thanks for the help
