Can anyone recommend a service who offers online storage? I've got just under 2 GB of files that I'd like to store somewhere that I could access from different pcs. Looking for something that's either free or relatively cheap. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Setting up your own server would be your best bet I think.
No place is just going to offer this service for free, I beleive.
No clue how you'll set up your own server, though.

What you could do is set up a gmail account, or 2, I have 6 gmail invites so pm me if you need them.

it may not be free, but you could get an external hard drive from maxtor. it sure beats waiting for 2 gigs to transfer over 10/100, or god forbid uploading to a server

check www.newegg.com and look for maxtor one touch drives, they are teh sh1zn3t. hehe, yes, i'm 1337

If you use windows xp you can set up remote desktop connection.. that's what my friend does, he goes over to other peoples houses and gets on his computer. Hehe.

Yea, an external HD would be best. We have two of them set up at my house for storage/backup. We have 4 wireless laptops in the house, so we can all put extra files and stuff on there.

But instead of Tunamans suggest, I would recommend www.fuitadnet.com if you're going that way. But seriously, if you're dealing with a couple gigs of files, a webserver is NOT the way to go.

Yeah portable USB/FIREWIRE drives are my recommendation.

'IF' you need webspace you also have to be careful of what your backing up (lots of things can be against companies TOS's)

I have a webserver and I might be able to help ya for a average price (if you're just using it as storage) but it depends on what you host and like i said, its highly impracticle to download/upload gigs of stuff.
