You ask if its good, and yet you say you've only heard good about it? :p

Yea, I played the Beta. I absolutely loved it. I wish I had the money to spare to play it now... but I can't afford a 50 dollar game and a montly fee when I'm trying to save up for a new car

I too have heard its good, but there is a small problem...

EVERY SINGLE FREAKING STORE IS SOLD OUT!

Last wednesday I drove to every single place that sells computer games (and found out a few that don't) and they were all out of stock.... It angered me. Greatly.

RenagadeOfFunk
01-15-2005, 02:41 PM
Yeah i noticed they are sold out

...a week back the shelves were stocked to the max for 3 days (i just was not curious about the game)

...the mothly fee turned me off...

(i am buying a car also...but a a car will not entertain me as long as World of warcraft will for $50 and i will only play till then end of summer anyway...)

Its very good. Don't let the monthly fee discourage you. You get a free month, and by the time you have to pay, you will see that its worth it. Or you won't and you'll cancel. Most likely tho, you will enjoy it. Can't wait to get my mount.

Is this game played in mutiple servers, like in Star Wars Galaxies? Or is it one giant server?

Will Wood
01-15-2005, 11:27 PM
There's a crapload of servers.. thousands of people on each.
Each server kind of has its own group of people.. You should really try to look into them before joining one.

The guys in my clan that play it are like vampires. They never get off teamspeak, just drone on for hours and hours. So, I'm thinking it's good. I played Beta and I liked it a lot.

WicKeD_WaYz

how much is the monthly fee

Koosh
01-17-2005, 03:27 AM
14.95 if you pay one month at a time

13.95 a month if you pay it in 3 month increments ($42 every 3 months)

and 12.95 a month if you pay in 6 month increments ($83 every 6 months)

In some ways, yes. It's an MMO with all that that entails. It's supposed to be a sticky game that keeps you coming back. One of the major differences though, is that it has PVP. That alone made the decision for me. Even tho the pvp rewards aren't in place, it's still a blast. The tension that it adds to contested areas is something that you don't get in alot of other games. For those who don't enjoy constantly looking over their shoulders, they do have PVE servers.

You guys have to stop enjoying this game. I'm on the verge of picking it up, but I don't want it to take over my life for a month like CoH did :(

I play the game with my wife on my side. We have a good time exploring and such. Much better than everquest if you played. They streamlined alot of the tasks to do stuff. And made the game more enjoyable to the casual player. Which is a breath of fresh air for me.

If you are on laughing skull. Say hi

If you have trouble finding the game, I know gamestop.com has them.

My copy is literally sitting in the delivery room of my dorm, has been since 12:45 yesterday (thank you online tracking)...but I can't freakin' go get it cause I have to wait for them to deliver a little yellow slip of paper to me that says "Hey, you have a package to pick up".
