This goes out to those who do not have screw in tanks:

I currently have a dual stage 68ci 4500psi max flo. My procedure for degassing the gun is to turn off the tank, shoot out the residual air from the valve, and pop off the quick disconnect which leads to the tank which makes a popping noise. Is there any harm in doing this?

there is stila bout 400~ psi left when u do that. recomend the conenctors listed above.

i disconected one at 450 and the bb(bal ebaring)things shot out the q/d broke...glad i wasnt hurt but it was an awakening that it prob wasnt the best idea or way to do it.

i new empty the gas out form my ahrdline :D

Bleh. Slidechedks are for pansies. :p I do the same thing as you, Carbon. Worst thing that's gonna happen (if you're clumsy) is shooting the oring in the female part of the QD out. Or if somehow the line gets out of your grasp, I suppose it could hit something. But by shooting most of the gas out of the line before hand, it shouldn't have much 'oomph'.

Unless you put the fat end on the pressurized side, then reconnecting it under pressure is a pain in the arse. :/ Makes a nice check valve though.

I have a slide check if you want it carbon, Let me know. And proconnects are awesome. My friend had one on his mag years ago and I thought it was the coolest thing. I have always wanted one. I couldn't afford one when they were poular and I haven't seen one in years.

hmm, looks like my hyperflow was a good idea after all, seeing my buddy try to de-gas his flatline is fun! He shoots the air out and then kinda holds the trigger so the air leaks down the barrel.

Dynaflow pwns!

Back when I had a max flow, I used a slide check with a quick disconnect. It worked, but was fugly!
