Hey,
I threw out another quick video yesterday. Recorded some footage, quickly threw it together and here's the link. There will be another one coming this week cause I got a ton of footage to play with. I'll, as usual, have the 'large' and 'quicktime' versions available later on this week as well. Right now its just a small 'Windows Media 9' encoded one.

Until the upcoming 'ghtp.net/gamebattles' tourney I wont be putting much time into actually editing things so if it seems semi 'throw together' its just cause we have a lot of stuff we're working on, plus the day job, life, etc. When the event happens we'll be randomly recording matches and placing weekly 'recaps' online.

The game forces you to do that... In the game, if you don't switch to the "incorrect, real life" hand, you won't be able to see jack when you come out of the bunker.

To elaborate a bit more.

In real life you can adjust your shoulder, neck, arm position to compensate that tiny bit needed to see the angle you want while still minimizing your position.

In the game, obviously the players have more 'set stances' and it would completely block your view. So the best solution was to manipulate the hands so that you could see. Sure its a bit incorrect, but I'd rather be able to do that then have to add even MORE commands for head/body movement. It would just be too much.

Yeah, I dont really like that aspect. It really bothers me so I end up not using the lean feature. I'm used to seeing the gun on one side of the screen and I start going crazy if its on the other side :(

It definitaly takes some getting used to, but I definitaly understand where the developers were going with it.

It was either block the view, insert commands for 'head/shoulder' movement or just switch hands and have an unblocked view. I think they chose the best option for what they had.

No, its a game for the XBOX and its 39.99 at most electronics stores that carry XBOX stuff.

Its called 'Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball' and its an exclusive xbox title (although a PS2 version might be in the works for GHTP 2).

You can find more info on the game at www.ghtp.net and also the develoeprs site at www.wxp3d.com
