Depends what the situation is. If I'm playing stock, I'll buy better paint than I will if I'm playing semi [rec, mind you]. If it was a BYOP tourney, I'm buying the best paint I can afford.

It depends on the price. Around here I buy the best paint the field has assuming its under $70 a case (I only shoot a case or two a day). If its something special like IAO I figure I spent a lot of money to get there and buy the best I figure they have. If its not a special event and its more than $70 a case I shoot very conservatively. I have played, and placed in a tournament where in nine three man games my team shot less than a case of paint. I have also played and failed to place in similar tournaments where as a team we shot half a dozen or more cases.

Given a choice of paint I shoot Kickn Metallix by choice (and yes I've tried the vast majority of paints) - unless you get the occassional bad batch it seems to be a very very good paint on par with Evil and I get a very good price.

Edit: I seldom pay more than $50 to $60 for the "good stuff" when I don't can't use Kick'n.
Just thought I'd add that, but to me, $70 is the line that effects my play style.

more than $70 a case .
holy crap! that's expensive :wow:
out here, our paint is anywhere from $19.99 for really cheap stuff to $49.99 for hellfire and such. i kind of base it off of the weather, tourney, practice and/ or how much money i have.

If its field only paint I buy the cheap whitebox stuff.

If its bring your own, I find the best white fill paint for $40

WOW, that's cheap. $50 gets you crappy seconds where I live. Any low end non seconds paint runs me $65. Friching sucks

I get the nicest I can afford. Sometime it isn't the top paint there, but close. Normally it is the best though. I find the better you get the less you use. The balls fly straighter and brake better, using less to get the job done.

if it's round and it comes out the end of a barrel, i'll shoot it :D

best price around here is 29.99$ for zap and it's by products so i get that.

When I'm using my Tippmann, which is for sale in my sig ;) , I usually get a good medium paint, i.e. PMI Premiums. But When I'm using my Emag, also for sale, imagine that :D , I can put some pretty cheap stuff through the gun and it will be fine. I heart Lvl 10

Aroundme I can get a decent quality case for around $50. I dont need some super high quality paint to play. And the whitebox stuff doesnt work well in my dad's 98.

I used to shoot economy paint, but after a lot of troubles with it, i know shoot pretty much exclusively blaze. That runs me about 50 a case, and i have yet to chop/break a ball.

IT depends on my mood & what I'm playing. If I am playing pump I will usually run starball or slam. Generally blaze is my paint of choice for everyday play but there are times moneys tight & the cheap o seconds from the general store fits the bill.

It really depends on the situation but I generaly get the mid range paint as I can afford better than the white box but see no need for the tournament quality paint if I'm not playing in a tournament.
