I think a massive rescue operation killing anything that gets in the way is in order.

First of all, I'm actually relieved. I was really concerned about a captured soldier.

Secondly, AHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA. Those insurgents are getting awfully desperate over there, especially after a good chunk of the population essential told them to (expletive) off by voting in the elections.

In all honesty, when I first saw the pic I was thinking it was a video game.

Yet another reason to refer to Al Queda as "Cobra: A secret terrorist organization bent on world conquest."

It would be bad, if it were a true pic, the guy would be thinking "Curse my looks, why did they model the stupid doll after ME!!"

I commented on this on teh official playstation.com forums. Some accused me of lieing and playing too much Americas army.

http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=general&message.id=1008015

ITs fake,a dn I'llt ell you why.

First of all thats a doll.

Second of all teh camera is fuzzy becuase its so close to the doll.

Thirdly, the fake gun has a 10 round magazine on it. 30 round mags areeasy enough to find, and why woudl they be having a 20 round on thatM4?

Secondly, the RIS foregrip seems like its attached directly to theforegrip by...plastic, and the handguard is NOT a RIS integrated foregrip as used by the US Military.

Fourthly, there is no fingeron teh trigger, nor is there a hand on the trigger frame.

Fifthly, they would not leave that vest on the soldier. They would remove it. Why remove all his grenades and leave the vest? (Later I discovered that it wasnt a 40mm vest, but a vest that holds NATO mags)

Sixthly, fi they did steal that weapon from him, thats not his weapon. He would carry an M203 on his M4/M16A4 (disproved)

Seventhly, the vest is NOT a standard issue vest, and I've never seen one like it.

Eightly, he's not wearing his pants to the military dress code, adneven if he was brakign the dress code, its very sandy in teh desert, and he's inviting a bucketful of sand to get into his boots. Not smart.

Ninthly, he's not wearing a flag patch, nor any patches.

ACtually doesn't look lik ehe's wearing a 203 vest at all. That vest is still not standard issue adn I've never seen anythign like it.

CNN military analyst James Marks, a retired Army general, questioned its authenticity.

He told CNN in a phone interview that the flak jacket in the picture had a kind of trim along the edges that he'd never seen before, and that the open-legged pants, as opposed to gathered hems, struck him as odd.

He also questioned what appeared to be camouflage paint on the face.

"We have not used camo paint with conventional forces serving in Iraq," Marks said.

I saw that yesterday. I have to wonder if they actually thought that we would go for it. I thought it was in all honestly, at a quick glance, the real thing, untill I looked closer and actually read the freaking article.
By did I feel like an idiot for about 15 seconds. Now I... just want to know if they plan on holding barbie hostage next.

Come on, no one else thinks it would be funny if we nuked them or somthing for GI Joe?

Or perhaps just capture them then put them on trial for war crimes just for the sake of listening to them admit it was a doll. Those people must feel really stupid about now.
