Which would you pick for under 500.

Right now I'm in the market for a decent electro. I've narrowed it down to two falling into my price range.

Vision Impulse $499 and 04 BKO w/PDS $485

Now being that Ive shot neither of them, I'm basically going by what you guys post here. I guess what I'm looking for is effiencancy, what upgrades I would need, and reliability. What are you guys opinions of the two, and which would you pick.

Go with the impulse its a little more mainstream, you can make it a good shooting marker. I would save another 100$ 200$ and buy yourself a nice timmy or matrix. Thats what I would really do.

world of difference if you get a matrix, its as reliable, but soo much faster and quieter

they are great, and i dont know if they still ahve the old programming, but my b2k2 was absolutely annoying with the trigger filter

I'd personally pick up a used angel. But between those two i'd get the Imp.

However, i'd get a b2k4 or b2k5 with PDS over the Imp.

I just never liked how BKO's look :tard:

The Imp was easy to use, and if I went to a field that didn't fill N2, I can just throw my 20oz CO2 on there and go. The differen't upgrades available are nice. I shoot an Angel now and would recommend a nice LCD over the Imp, but that wasn't a choice at all. Out of those 2, I'd take the Imp. But I'd be sure to try both before I bought.

I'd save $150-$200 more and get a used Viking. I have a feeling it will trump both of those markers ;) . And if you want the most out of your tank fill, AKA markers don't hurt.

actually, i hate to suggest it, but save another 150, and buy an adrennaline impulse from www.buypb.com (under the sales or clearence section) and have on extremely hot marker

i have dealt with imps and I will suggest that you Not get one. One reason being that the impulse is losing value like the shoebox shocker did when the 03 shocker came out. People can not get rid of them, I have one for 300 with a max flo that will not go away. I luckily sold a beautiful "pimp it' custom" vision imp with N2 tank, evo2, vert/max flo, and SP Lpr for $500.
I also do not like vision, that eye is too easy to break, and even when it works right it isnt nearly as good as breakbeam. the impulse is a tall gun, not the best balance. And aftermarket manufacturers are not focusing on imp stuff anymore...

500.00 is a lot of cash, you should stay with a top of the line used gun like a matrix, you will be a lot happier. -try matrixowner- but if you must buy new then get a freestyle or the new b2k5.

used matrix!!! even if it doesnt have eyes put a halo or reloader and down the bps and no worries!! bye down the bps i mean like 17-18 so far havent had a single chop with that setup!!

I went with an Eblade 'cocker. It suits me just fine. I personally do not like angels. I don't think stock Impulses are good by any stretch. Intimidators, Matrixs, base Vikings/Excals, and Emags can also be found in that price range. I've never owned a Bushmaster, but I did havea BKO which had a nice feel, but it never worked since I bought it broken. The LPR was a pain, I'd rather have no LPR at all in the BKO's case.

Yeah, I was there for a few months. All I could think about the whole time was shooting down that freakin spy blimp. What ever you settle on getting, use it to shoot down the spy blimp.
