I heard 6 shims max for the ULT. I have also heard 6 shims total for ULT and LX combined. I have 2 in my LX and 3 in my ULT for a total of 5. Which statement is correct? Thanks.

don't think either are true. ive heard of ppl running the equivilent of 7 or 8 ult shims on their on/off alone, not counting the level ten.

What exactly is a shim and what does it do?

they look like a washer, except they are thinner. Level10 shims are .010" and ult ones are .005". their purpose is basically to shorten the effective length of a pin. by sliding onto the on/off pin, the top of the on/off is pushed higher up on the pin. same concept is used for LX.

first off do you have a ule trigger kit (ult)? also trigger pull length isnt changed noticably, only the preassure to trip it is lightened.

If you have it, pop out the on/offand CAREFULLY unscrew it. add shims until it goes full auto, then take one or two out to suit your style.

i have to buy the ULE trigger kit, but im not sure whether to get that or the ULE body first.

both are sweet. keep in mind goin to the ule body means you need cocker threaded barrel. talk to some ao dealers like tuna and rogue. they can get you the ult for allot cheaper than agd
