Who here rides a motorbike?
Just curious. I got my M license after taking the safety course. Still looking to get my first bike. I am certain I want a cruiser.

I want a bike, does that count? I would either take a cruiser or a crotch-rocket.:)

koo. My bike was my first "car" so to speak. 88' Magna 750. Tor quey/powerful bike, easy to ride, and fun to take girls on. I thought you were reffering to dirtbikes, so my current dirtbike is a 2002 YZ-426 that I should be riding (just bought it last week; traded in my 2001 and added some cash), but New England is just tooooooooo cold this time of year. So it sits in my basement (that's right, not about to put my baby in the garage).

I started out in 1984 with a '71 Kawasaki KE125, then a '78 Yamaha DT125, then an '80 Honda CR125, then an '84 Kawasaki KX125, then an '85 Yamaha YZ125, then an '89 Suzuki RM125, then I went to street bikes with a '93 Kawasaki ZX-7 and then a '93 Honda CBR900RR, and I an currently back to dirt bikes and have a '94 Kawasaki KX250.

My mom gave me a complex at an early age saying that there was no way she'd allow me to learn how to ride. My dad messed himself up more than a few times on a bike, but risk is a part of it. If I had a bike it'd probably be a Goldwing.

Goldwing? Ugh. They're ugly. <---My opinion.

My uncle just bought a Honda 1800. One BIG damn motorcycle. It does the 1/4 mile in 12.2 seconds. That's some good stuff.

Hey, this is 1000 posts....I feel so pathetic.

Goldwings are just too big and heavy.
I love my 426; ridden it 5 times thus far and the suspension mods kick! The only thing I don't like is the front fender doesn't wrap like the old one. OH well!

DON'T BUY A RING INSTEAD OF A BIKE!!!!!!!!
DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T DO IT.

I can't stress this enough.

Do not forsake the purchase of a bike for the ring.

Get the ring later. Giver a bike instead. Buy the ring that I'm stuck with because I didn't buy the Hot Rod I wanted instead!!!!!

those CBRs are no slouches. My brother had a new 929 for a while, but he sold it recently to buy an FZR 1100 or something....He's been telling me it'll do 0-100 in like 3 seconds!
