Got the MX1000 a little while back.

Quite happy with it.

The tracking is quite noticably sharper in high resolution situations, such as a massive desktop of in first person shooters.

i know some ppl with the mx1000 and they like them alot. we are all in the same cs clan and they all went back to there mx510's because they are better for playing computer games. i have a 510 and it is very nice. both of them are very nice.

I couldn't get used to a wireless mouse at work. I kept forgetting to dock it and charge the battery. I got a MX510 to replace it (was an MX900), I'm much happier now. At home I have a Razer Diamondback for gaming and I love it. I'll prob try a MX1000 stule mouse (big fan of logitech) if they make a wired version.

Seconded, as this is the premier environment thay my MX1000 operates in.

I don't know if it's due to the nature of the mouse itself, but the battery life on the MX1000 is insane.

Even with heavy use I get at least a week plus a few days off a charge.

The top veiwable battery status lights are a nice touch, and the docking station recharges quite quickly.

I'm sure it's way better than the MX900. I just prefeer a corded mouse. A mouse bungee is all I need to manage the cord. Some folks like cordless, and I'm really happy that there are good options for them. I just like the corded version.

I have an MX700. I'm just going to wait for something better then the mx1000 to come out. The MX series is aging, so you know something new is in the works. I just got some logitech speakers for real cheap, and i LOVE them.
