na, looks more like the 02/the one

99% Sure that this is just a licensed version of the ol' OGI 03 marker. looks like they put eyes on it. Never have been impressed with the exteranl hoses at both ends of the gun.

meh.

Still giving my vote to the ION for the best new deal.

actually it is an "02" not the 03: http://odyssey.tv/products/markers/o2/

the o3 is too tall compared to the diablo marker, and the 03 costs more than 280

in fact i think the 03 costs 400

Yes, it is the o2. The o3 will be comparable to the new Diablo Reaper. I posted that in some other thread, too lazy to find the pic :tard:

Looks cheap to me so i still must take an ion over it

I am pretty sure it is faster than an ion -in case that was one of your concerns

I bet they're not as fast as an ion straight out of the box.

Chronobreak

probly similar...

im also not a fan of external hoses/fittings....doesnt look too bad compared to a cocker ;)

Mabey not out of the box faster, but I amsure with alittle tweaking the wrath can be faster, and still be under $300. Just install a QEV, a lighter micro switch, and adjust the trigger. It has a 20bps board stock. Dosen't the ion have a 17 bps cap?

DIABLO WRATH

The Wrath is designed to deliver top level performance at a reasonable cost. With its 20 ball per second cycling rate, the Wrath is one of the fastest markers available at any price. The Vise Grip Feed Neck, Quik-Strip bolt, vertical foregrip regulator, ported barrel and high speed air-ram operation are all features usually found only on much pricier markers or only through a great deal of after-market expense. We believe that the affordability of a reliable, feature packed marker will improve your playing experience and winning percentage. Unleash your Wrath!

FEATURES:

• UP TO 20 SHOTS PER SECOND
• AIR RAM OPERATING SYSTEM
• LCD TRIGGER FRAME WITH SHOT COUNTER, TIMER & MORE
• ERGONOMICALLY DESIGNED FORE GRIP REGULATOR
• STATE-OF-THE-ART LOW PRESSURE REGULATOR
• QUICK STRIP BOLT
• CUSTOM VERTICAL CLAMP FEED PORT
• NEW STYLE BALL DETENT
• ADJUSTABLE DOUBLE TRIGGER WITH ELECTRONIC SAFETY
• CUSTOM FADE ANODIZING AVAILABLE
• MICRO POLISHED CUSTOM PORTED BARREL
• DUAL BEAM BREAK EYES

Interesting... I wonder how it works?

Is that a sear tripping noid in the grip frame?

In anycase, at $277.00, it looks like it may be another great gun for the money! :)

It is ugly--like 99% of all of the other guns out there. The only reason the Ion/Shocker looks cool is because it resembles a Mag.
Who the hell wants a two-story tall paintgun anyway?

The Wrath isn't that tall at all. It's shorter than the older gen. Intimidators, and much shorter than the impulse. It's about as tall as an electro-spyder....which is not tall. :tard:

But it's no Mag--that's my point. I'm just used to the low profile...I love it so damn much!

Ah, the joys of a commodity market... inexpensive markers with lots of features. Cant wait to see what else comes out this year.

We're going to go through some heavy growth in the next year from all the decent entry level markers that are out, we're also going to see the high end markers come down in price a bit to stay in competition.

Quite possibly true Bob. A new arms race is developing, but it's at the low end of the market, not the top.

It's not a sear tripper gun, it uses a special solenoid (that looks a bit like a sear tripper solenoid at first glance) in order to work at low voltages and with CO2. We understand that for a lot of people at this point in the market co2 is still the main gas source.

The low end/entry market is the biggest part of the pyramid and where companies stand to make the most money, it would be foolish not to go after it.

*edit* Manike! Unblock your PM's! I'm only 85 miles for Cherry hill, m8, we should get together one of these weekends and share a pint :) PM me.

Having a chance to glance over the exploded view of the two guns, I would have to say that the Wrath will probably be more reliable. I would venture to guess that this is the case since the stack tube design can function well even if the tolerances aren't as tight. I don't think that this would be the case with a spool. Much in the same way that my Alias is infinitely more reliable than any 03 Shocker that I have seen.

I'm working on a mid-level gun that runs off of telekinesis. I'LL have the market then. :wow:

There is another gun being developed aswell called the X, and also the Pro X.

www.diablodirect.com

The Wrath does indeed look interesting, maybe a delrin bolt upgrade, but I would certainly give it a go. If I heard right, its a Bob Long creation.

I don't think it is a Bob Long Creation although from the outside you may see some similarities to the Timmies.

Im quoting John Sosta who works for NPS Europe. We had a short conversation about these on the phone and I seem to recall something being said about Bob Schlong. I/we may be wrong though as is nearly always the case :)

does anyone else find the massive amounts of wiring/tubing just a tad rube-goldbergian?
Also, does anyone know how it functions? Does that brass ram move the bolt/striker forward and that spring push it back (the back spring in front of the ram). dont BKO's work that way?
seems like a retrofitted spyder

looking at the exploded view i would GUESS (listen i said guess i dont know fo sure!) but i would guess the front deally is a LP reg of sorts (i guess it really doesnt need to be, but wheres the fun in that!) that takes HP air from the frontside of the valve cuts it down to "LP" whatever that mayne... and pumps it back to the 'noid, then the 'noid when opened sends the LP air its being fed into the butt end of the gun, kicking that hammer/ram thinggy forward into the valve, opening the valve and making the shot (of course the hammer ram thinggy is attached to the bolt who is along for the ride).

do i get a cookie if im right?

spring return?

tony3
02-24-2005, 10:12 PM
uses a 1 way solenoid(or would you say 2?). Basically the hammer is pushed forward with air, recocked with a spring, similar to bko and the em1 when it was around. Looks cheap to me, maybe because the grips, trigger guard and trigger all look stupid, too high tech low quality stuff. Just put normal grips on it, normal sounded trigger and a smooth rounded guard, too many people make drastic stuff for the trigger area making it look stupid.
