I've got a perfect solution for that. Baskets (http://www.outdoorssearch.com/ospi/leki-snowflake-baskets-1-pair-3898.html)

Slip one of them over the tip of the barrel.

If that happened to me I'd throw my gun too :)

Honestly... it's going to land in mud... mud is soft... It's not going to scratch or damage it... just going to get it muddier than it already is :D

where do you put that on the end of the barrel for stoping it from going into the mud?
Do people really do this?

LOL I was wondering the same thing. It looks like it goes on a ski pole to me

if y ou read it it does go onto a ski pole, maybe she should have tried to not lodge her barrel in the mud, or lay down pull out a battle swab and clear it out, i mean she just got up and did nothing, what else did she have to lose

I know its a basket for a ski pole i was asking if people modified them to fit on the barrel and actually used them for paintball. Im not sure but it look like she got shot when she lifted her gun up.

I had to use my marker as a hill-climbing accessory back in August - I was on a mission (in the rain) and the hill was pretty steep. The trail I was on was already well worn (mostly mud) and I slipped about 1/2 way up. The only thing that kept me from falling 40 - 50 feet back down (at about a 60 degree angle) was me impalling my barrel as far into the hillside as I could until I hit something solid. I must have looked a little funny there hanging by my Mag, but it probably saved me from some kind of injury.

Luckily, I usually have an extra barrel in my pack, so after I got back up the hill, I took off the mud-soaked barrel & replaced it.

A squeegee and a remounting of that HALO would have put her back in business. Maybe no one on the other team saw her move to the snake.

It looked like her barrel got nailed when she held it up (blue fill?). I don't know if that was to call out, or just a bad idea, but she threw it down right after that. Could've been frustration with first landing in mud, then ramming some down the barrel and then getting hit. Three strikes. Heh heh. But I guess when everything you have is paid for by someone else, it's much easier to abuse your gear.

In woodsball, that'd be when we turn tail and get behind friendly lines for an on-field marker resuscitation. Speaking of which, March will be here in no time at all. Huzzah!

lol thats great. I'll have to tease her about that when I see her next. She's my boss at Portland Paintball when she is in town. If you watch the 300fps you can see Sara's hopper fall off when she's in the ladder. Oh and when she gets mad watch out! I tried bunkering her one time and she shot me in the crotch. Couldn't walk for a long time. Had to crawl off the field.

Check out this mud action:

All in all I still really like mud cause you can slide really nice in it. But lossing your gun in it really sucks.
