i might get an emag in my hands with 1.35 software. but i don't know that much about the software or the emag at all. is 1.35 good? decent? i heard some talk about a 4.xx software thingey (correct termonilogy unknown) and was just wondering what i would need to do if 1.35 is not good.

so i would just like to know if i have the reight idea, or if i am wrong, or what i need to do.

thanks~ :bounce:

send it in, have it flashed to 3.2

how much does that cost?

You would have to call and find out, but I think the flashing is free, but you will have to pay for shipping to and from.

1.37 is decent, not fast, but it has other modes(burst, and F/A) 3.3 is where its at though.

honestly though, with the emags hybrid mode, do you really need full auto? lol :shooting:

I believe that 1.35 might be the version with full auto, though I might be mistaken, I only remember seeing it once many moons ago. I do know for a fact that 1.37 has only the burst mode (3 to 6 balls per burst, 12bps cap when in burst mode, 18bps in semi) and no full auto option.

Flashing to 3.2 will cost you $20 total, that covers shipping & handling. You can send it to Tunaman, BlackVCG, or AGD. There's a few others too that do it, just not coming to mind right now :)

1.37 is capped at 16SPS (bps) - Tuna will flash your E-Mag for free, all you need to do is pay $20 for return shipping.

You are correct, it is capped at 16bps.

You are also correct that the 1.37 doesn't have f/a it only has 3 burst and 6 burst.

i know its a sort of off topic but it is about emags...r they equipped with ACE (anti-chop eyes)? i read somewhere i think it was smart parts that they are equipped with the ACE feature

They don't need an ACE. They have the level 10 bolt which is arguably better.

The E-Mag and X-Mag can both support an ACE with a daughter board. AGD did make an ACE for the X-Mag.

Level 10 and an ACE are two ends that attempt to reach the same end, elimination of chopping. The ACE is a preventative method by not allowing the gun to fire before its seen a ball and the ball's had the appropriate settle time. The Level 10 achieves this by venting gas which would have continued to push the bolt forward and fire when a ball isn't chambered entirely. The ACE is a proactive approach, Level 10 is a reactive approach.

There's nothing that says that LX is better than an ACE. If an E-Mag is equipped with an ACE that's set-up propperly it can remove the LX kit and go back to the L7 and see an improvement in efficiency and lower opperating presure.

yes xmags have both ace and lvl 10 but most xmag users just use the lvl 10.. for some reason my ace board doesnt seem to work i think it is because my magnet for my trigger is spaced to far out but thats how i like my trigger so it was one or the other!

Most xmag owners that i know dont even use the ACE, they just use the lvl 10.
