I have no idea how to play guitar. So I bought one. Hoping I may one day learn well enough to actually play it for my friends or something. Don't know a damned thing about the guitar or amp tho.. except the guitar is an Ibanez and the amp is a crate or something. Anyway, pics:

the Ibanez guitars are nice and solid built guitars that should see you for a long while :)

the Crate amp is a nice bit of kit too, I'm looking to upgrade to the 120Watt 2x12 Crate in the near future...

have a look @ the tutorials on http://www.olga.net they can be quite helpful too....

Just kidding, guitar is fun. Don't get frustrated if you don't sound like whoever you want to sound like, though, because you won't. I know I don't.

nice setup there as a first guitar. its simple to get the basics down for playin... but dont go crazy trying to learn hard solos or anything just yet. i mean, hell my first guitar was one of those firstact's that u see in wal-mart... lol i didnt care then cause i was just learning


but the first song i ever learned to play in full was "stay together for the kids" by blink 182, its extremely easy once u get the feelin for it

Just to go a music store and pick up a how to play guitar book. Thats what i started on and i have been playing for 4 years now.

but anyway... go to mxtabs.net read through the lessons and archives and learn to read tab (also register in their forums)


:( i wish i had an ibanez :(

hahaha, is this a good guitar? the letters on the top of the neck near the tuning knobs [i know there's some special name, but i don't know it] say gio, but I couldn't find that on their site.


Also, there's a switch thingy near the volume and tone knobs, It has three positions. What does it do?
