Played yesterday for the first time in months. It was a good day out but halfway through the day my marker (minimag rail, yframe, ule body, xbolt) started leaking air, then cut out completely. Upon furhter inspection, I found I had a broken Power Tube Assembly (http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=290&categoryID=38) . This is the second time I have broken it in as many days of playing.
That is, the one I played with yesterday had seen about 1 and a half cases of paint. I currently have two shims in place and im using the second smallest spacer. I did not torque the tip down , but it was not loose (I tightened it snuggly with one finger on the wrench). Also I fired about half a hopper with the pressure on my tank tured all the way up, just to show off how it fires with full reactivity to a friend.

My question is:

Has this become a more common problem with x-valves in the past 6 months (since i posted about this last)?

Should I send my valvue back in to be checked out, or continue buying this 10 dollar part and hope I doesnt break anymore?

Thanks in advance for your posts.

Two broken powertube tips seems a bit odd. The powertube assembly in your valve may have a manufacturing flaw. It might be time to send it in for a check-up.
