Are they proprietary or will a cocker threaded barrel fit?

I don't know if they are proprietry or not, but they are not the same as cocker threads - I'm 90% certain on that.

The "thread" section is completely removable so you can put in an adaptor for any type of threads and it'll be like that A-5 came with those threads. Pretty cool if you ask me.
Most guns have a threaded body/recever area so you need to screw in an adaptor then screw the new barrel into that. Kind of kills the effectivness of a muti-bore barrel system if the first inch or so is the adaptor. No worries about this with the A-5. :)
