My valve leaks

Hi all i got my used minimag about 3 weeks ago from the local proshop and when i gas it up it leaks in between the phase 2 valve and valve body. and i can't get the two seperated to see what's wrong. can i get some help please.

The phase II valve screws out of the back of the valve assembly. It sounds like the big o-ring that seals the two halves is bad.

That's what i figured but i can't get it seperated.
