View Full Version : Stripped Rt Valve...help!!!

sup guys,
i just bought an RT pro from a friend w/ lvl 10, ULT, everything....but it has one problem....the place where you put in the field stip screw is all stripped!!!! i know this is probably a pretty bad problem, but i was wondering what can i do? any suggestions or direction is definitely appreciated.

Use a Heli-coil?

use a dremmel and make a slot? then use a screw driver?
then buy a new field strip screw?

^^OMFG^^ He means the whole in the valve where the FS screw goes into to hold it the valve in place.

good god! how do you strip your valve???!
Send it to tunaman ASAP, that's some hardcore work gotta go on there!

That's a little strange....a stainless steel valve with threads stripped out by a field strip screw? I've never heard of that before.....but have certainly broken off a field strip screw in the valve.
This issue, however, is why I am sticking with a stainless steel valve rather than going to an aluminum xvalve.....I'm notorious for stripping threads......so I'lll stick with my Emag valve.
