After 3-4 rapid shots with my Sydarm it fails to fire, and after waiting a few seconds it recharges. Any suggestions?

even when using a fresh 12gram.

do you oil the gun regulary.

sounds like bolt stick or on/off pin not resetting.

im thinking its the 12 gram

They weren't made to rapid fire as far as I know. Since its so small, it gets chilled really fast meaning its gonna lose the pressure. Since 12 grams were designed for pumps that allow it to recharge between the single shots, the 12 gram cant keep up with the sidearm's semi-action.

Get a 4 oz bottle or just space your shots out more. Theoretically you could attach it to an expansion chamber. That way the 12 gram's CO2 goes and is stored in the expansion chamber, and you shoot from there. Might work, dunno for sure haha.

Fer sure, the AIR valve was way ahead of its' time, and not really designed to run on CO2. Back in the day, compressed air was pretty new, but Tom knew his stuff and recognised the consistency to be had from compressed air.

Alas, dumping CO2 into the AIR, even from a source as tiny as a 12g, will chill the valve and then allow liquid in further reducing the effectiveness of the valve. For best results, avoid liquid ingress into the valve if at all possible by expansion or whatever, or if you wish to keep the sleek looks of the Sydarm, space your shots to allow the CO2 to be come properly gaseous before it hits your valve.

Hope this helps.
