It's official!

Where:
The third AOMA will be at Paintball Authority in south side Richmond (about 15 minutes south of Richmond). If you want to check out their site go to www.pbauthority.com. They truely have some of the nicest fields in VA, (multiple air fields including Xball field, woods field, town field and my favorite hyperball field ever). They are all very close to the staging area and are on grass fields (not the mud plans like at Pevs ;)).
field opens at 11 for play, but gate should be open at 10
Details:
Field Fee/Air
If we have 20+ people field fee will be $15 a person with all day air.

Paint:
Diablo white box: 36~39 (deppending on if he has to pay shipping that week)
Diablo Blaze: 45

When:
Sunday, May 8th (can possibly be changed if not enough can make this date)

Hotel:
This isn't official yet, but i used to work at a hampton inn about 10-15 minutes away from the field and i can hopefully get a deal. The current rate is 82 per night for a double room. But i can hopefully get something better than that.

Directions:
From the south (you NC guys): 95N to 288W (can only go one way). Take 288 to Rt60W (midlothian trpk) towards Powhatan. Then stay on 60 until you get to Rt 676/Urbine Rd.

From the North: 95S to 64W. Then 64W to 288E/S. Take 288 to Rt60W (midlothian trpk) towards Powhatan. Then stay on 60 until you get to Rt 676/Urbine Rd.

From the East (beach guys): Hell, just stay on 64 till you get to 288 :). Take 288 to Rt60W (midlothian trpk) towards Powhatan. Then stay on 60 until you get to Rt 676/Urbine Rd.

I am sure we will do something like last time where we met at a McD's

The X-ball Field has been setup like it was in LA Open 2k5 for 7-man, its a nice field. The 2 Airball fields will be blown up and setup in a 3/5-man setup. If you have any questions concerning the field facility and or information feel free to PM me or post on the PBA Website.

Seeing how this is a Sunday, i expect there will be quite a bit of good players there because its a practice date most likely for the PBA teams. I plan to be there, seeing how its my homefield :D

Wow, why did everything have to reschedule for the weekend of the 15th! :( Set our Nags Head trip around the AO day (8th) and the Toyota meet (21st and 22nd) to the 15th. Now just this week both the AO day and the Toyota meet moved their dates to the weekend of the 15th, lol.

Well, I guess we'll have to miss this one. Hope it's as fun as the last one! :D Phantomhitman, I want that battery pack!

Mother's Day, hmmm?

...I should finally be able to make it!! :D

I'm a super-poor high school senior who's gonna have to save a ****load of money for beach week and IAO and (hopefully, oh god I hope this works out) AO-Canada, so I'll probably just get up early on Sunday and drive down there and then come home afterwards the same day, in order to save hotel room money. Anybody happen to know from experience how long the drive from northern Virginia (Fairfax/Springfield) to the field is?

It woulda been awsome as hell to join ya. It's not so much the distance as it is the Sunday. Even worse, its not so much the Sunday as it is the MONDAY!

And I can't drive that far and back to be ready for Monday after a day of paintball. Heck, I don't know if I would be ready for a Wed after a full day of popping.

But hey, no sweat, next time right?

That park looks awsome and the prices seem pretty good. Now go shoot some paint! Can't wait till we all play a little more around the DC area. I could bring my regulars.

I may end up reffing you guys sense i work there. If that is the case then Rogue, you can borrow my Timmy. It should be fun, the X-ball field is oging to stay in the 7man format no matter what, because thats the field my team uses to practice on. So you may need 5-man teams, but im not sure. This sounds like fun!

I use it at practice sometimes. But dont use it unless other people are or other people say its ok. You can use it, but if it gets to the point that people start getting pissed, take it off. Please use it somewhat controllably, dont put 20 balls into one person, we all know that isnt fun.

sorry i haven't been around for the past few days, my wife and i have been at the hospital with our 10month old daughter since thursday the 7th. she is ok if anyone is wondering, however they are having to closely monitor her calcium and vitamin D levels and get them in a safe range before they can send her home. that will hopefully be tomorrow, but thats what we have been hearing all week.

Bad news fellas' I may not be able to grace yall this go around. I got reamed with a $130 fine from the bank for an over draw thanks to Paypal. Don't remove me from the list just yet. I'm gonna try and shift some funds around and hopefully attend. Just giving yall the heads up incase.

ouch, go in and ask to speak to the manager. Tell him these fees are unjust and that if he cant do anything about them you will simply take your business to another bank. i did that with a bogus 60 charge once and the manager dropped it like that.

Thanx for all your well wishes guys. We just got home monday night at about 8pm. So our house is a mess after 10 days in the hospital i guess it would be. I'm going to get crackin on this very shortly and see if i cant get some more people nailed down and so on.

June 5th is 2 days after graduation and May 29th is in the middle of Exam week for jwalker and I. :\

May 8th is what most people are planning for, so I think we should stick with it. We may even get to play with the Richmond Riot. I've been trying to talk with their team captain about organizing something fun. :D

Ok...

Our little group has made plans to attend on May 8th. This has required that some of us get time off, swap around work shifts and clear family schedules. I believe that changing the date this late in the game will cause some people more inconvienence. Having another event in July or August would be an excellent idea.

I have prior commitments all through out July and August, precluding any events during that time period. Without my "leadership" our group is likely to not attend, hence I believe that the May 8th event should continue as scheduled.

As it stands, we may be adding two more people to our list. Wraith's brother and my girlfriend's daughter, assuming she hasn't gone in the Army.

I still think that organizing an event in july/august to accomodate the folks who can't make this one is a great idea.

Our team will most likely put together an AO day in june, as my b'day is in june. Everyone will be invited, once I nail down the site and the date. (I hate busy schedules... they make planning such a pain!)

Sorry I haven't checked in for a while, but there's been a lot going on recently, and my schedule's been changing constantly.

As of RIGHT THIS MOMENT, I believe I'll be able to attend, and bring along FalconGuy with me. However, my great uncle just died late last night, so there's a small chance I'll be out of town at that time.

Also, I don't know if I'll be playing at all. I've got my sex-e, and invision, but my tank's out of hydro. I haven't played in, damn, about a year. I guess we'll see once I'm down there.

well, bring all your gear, if we cant scrounge a tank for you, you can always rent....but i am sure we can scrounge one. (and if you are sure your tank is fine....i wouldnt be suprised if they dont pay attention to it.

funny you say that i got my 3k tank filled at total Eclipse in thornburg the other day and the moron look at the tank and then precedded to fill it to 4500. talk about being hot!

It was great meeting all who attended. We, SBJim, RobertP and I had a great time. The awesome "Automag" attitude carried the day!! We've been giving the rest of the team, who didn't attend, crap since we arrived home...

Let's do this again in a few months... A little farther north this time :) The discussion about Pev's had a lot of promise.

I will likely be attending the Outdoor Adventure Scenario this coming weekend, and then I will check out the "foul smell" we were informed of.

BTW, is DarkRipper goning to post his pix here? Can you contact Sean(?) and Alex(?) from the Angel forums, and link to the picture posts, as they were interested in seeing the stuff I shot?

I said it before and I made a long rant in the post about how much fun it is playing with friends and not *****ing about someone cheating, shooting too hot, ticked off for getting shot out, etc... Speaking from John and myself, we both had a great time and look forward to doing this again.

I and my brother will be at the OA Scenario this weekend, too. We're registered for Red team. What's that about a "foul smell" there?

There were a couple of rumors that the mulch used at OA was smelling very badly. Our team has only played there in the winter, and therefore can't confirm the rumor.

If you'd like to catch up with us at the scenario on sunday, May 15th, look for Sprye Bane and a bunch of Mags... We are also playing Red team!

Or... Call me when you arrive at the field 410-615-1647 and we can get together.

I'm planning my b'day bash to be an unofficial Automags Online day, but we are trying to determine which field to play.

The "smell" problem at Outdoor Adventure is nonexistant. There are farm fields a short distance away, and they have been recently manured. This does not seem to have any effect on the fields.

The jury is still out as to where, and when we hold the AO-MD day, but I will start a thread of my own for that.

How about something simple...

Outdoor Adventures in Bowie, MD is hosting a Battle of the Bulge scenario on Sunday, Dec 11.

The usual fees are $20 entry if preregistered, $25 if not. It is a field paint only scenario, and cases usually run from $50-$55

Our little group of Automaggers always play for the Red team.

I'll supply more info, if there is any interest.

well, it certainly didnt help when i lit you up last time.....i still feel really bad about that man :(
hope all is well with the fam and work and junk. I still need to get my UL barrel tip back from you.

I am going to try and play atleast once more this year (last time i played was in may at the last AO day :() Doubt i'd be able to make that scenerio in December, but thanx for the offer.
