I am wondering. someone here told me i can not get this body painted.

I have a 68AUTOMAG Standard Feed body....and if i cant get that painted is there another body that i can get that use the twist lock system?

You can paint it, but it will peel off very fast. The only way to effictively 'paint' a stainless steel body is by powdercoating it.

Or you also have the option of buying an alluminum body like the ULE and getting it annodized, which is a much more expensive route.

who told you that you cant paint that body? of course you can. sand, primer then paint and maybe a clear coat. if you want to you can also use a rubbing compund when the clear coat has dried.

this is what i did with my old body:

oh yea make sure you dont paint the underbody where it touches the rail.

or just buying a ULE body in the color that you want. THe ule body is one of the best upgrades for the mag, it is like a completely different and better gun.

no need to get a freak, or any kit for that matter. Just get 1 big bore (like a .692) barrel and be done with it.

Paint will scratch fairly easily if it's just a base coat. If you sand the body with 400 grit, then prime it. Spray on 1-2 coats of base, followed by 2-3 coats of clear, it should pretty durable.

mmm yeah....i would let my pro shop do that..but ill do that after i ef up the body  ..but i have another question AGD- Intelliframe.....is this better then the hyper frame...and what does it cap at also.......can i get a "blade" trigger for my hyper frame.

No.

And don't bother with a freak.

Gumbe
03-19-2005, 07:23 PM
no i cant ajust it ...and why not bother with the freak....reason would help me understand

teufelhunden
03-19-2005, 08:00 PM
No you can't adjust it.

And don't bother with a freak because there's no need to match paint in an open bolt gun. And even if you do decide to get a kit, don't bother with a Freak..

i though mag was a closed bolt.....i mean it looks closed to me and why not worrie about it..paint to barrle match makes a diffrent

teufelhunden

"It looks closed to me"

And with that, I tell you to waste your money as you see fit.

If you think the gun is closed bolt, get the freak. If you think it is open, get a single big bore barrel. Honestly, I would tell you which is the right answer, but you need to do some research about barrels and how a mag operates first.

Gumbe

well ok i donnt knwo hwo it operate..that because the owner is taking hes sweet *** time to show me..but none the less....i thoughb paint to barrle match was good for ever type of gun(shows how much i know)..but i still dont understand why a big bore will shot the same as a good paint to barrle match?
