This Saturday at Rally/Show at the Weiner Micro Car Museum. The Black and Chrome T5 takes it home.

More on the Museum:

Cool place. The owner is the Heir to the Dubble Bubble gum fortune. He recently sold the company for a cool $250 million it was reported. And he hosts this rally there on his farm where the Museum is. He, of course, has lots of motorsports boy toys. And he allows us all to abuse them. Has his own track there and everything.

Weird thing is the Rally (and Club) is named after the Loretta Lynn song Fist City but yet all the scooterists are into Retro Mod type stuff like the Jam. Go figure. One must assume there was a drunken moment involved. This was the 10th Rally by that Club. The actual City it was held in was Madison Georgia.

I heard all day the guys name pronounced. "Why-Ner". But yet spelled Weiner. Go figure again. And who knew so much money could be made in Bubble gum! My gawd... a quarter of a BILLION! And who knows how much they banked before selling! Interestingly enough it was part of C ration stuff in WWII. It goes way back to the late 20's I think.

There were at least 60 there. You do not enter. The host club members go around through the day without your knowledge and secretly meet up late in the day and discuss the scooters and pick a winner. Four catagories: Best Vespa, Best Lambretta, Best Custom and Best Rat bike ( a cool catagory for the real trashy riders and a lot of fun that one is)

Best Vespa is more or less a later model that best exhibits the original syles and lines and more importantly still looks fairly new without extensive restoration. Original as it can get and tends to go to the oldest one that still looks fairly new and still has all its original trim on it. Normaly not restored in any way but perhaps engine and insides. Not evident from outside.

Same as above with Lambretta.

Best Custom is best example of restoration work at it's finest and not nessicarily just stock stuff but tastefull period Mods as they would have been done. Matters not if its Vespa, Lambretta or other make model of Scooter. Essentialy its "best restoration scooter overall"

Best rat is the ugliest rattyest running conglomeration of parts and contraptions including some decorative but mostly tacky add ons.
