Cut Feedneck ULE WarpLeft

If you were to cut off part of the feedneck on a warp left ULE body, will the balls still feed correctly? Thanks in advance. If you figure I cut half of it off to about 1/2 of an inch left on the body.

The balls will feed correctly, but you will have a hard time keeping the warp tube from falling off.
