In the April issue of PB2X, there's a small thing entitled " You might be old school if..." Pg 17.

Most of these things have to do with AGD.

10.You ever purchased a gun because Bad Company shot it.
9. The saga of the Smart valve in the pages of PCRI captivated you.
8. You know the Puma wasn't just a good semi-auto made by ICD.
7. Falling asleep during the video that came with the gun was common in your circle of friends.
6."Going liquid" was the worst possible thing that could happen during your day.
5. The powerfeed concept fascinated you.
4. You're convinced the "Crown Point" is still the most accurate barrel ever.
3. You ever wanted to make a pilgrimage to the Amatuer Open to attend the tech class.
2. The Automag is special to you, whether you still shoot one today or not.
1. You wish Tom kaye would un-retire, too

Most people (general public) wont know numbers 9, 8, and well just about all of them.

You were ever involved in a tournament where it was legal to eliminate your opponents by hiding in a tree and shooting them in the back

I can relate to most of it, except for the Crown point. I hated that thing.

Watched the episode of law and order because it showed Paintball. I think the Ironmen were the guests of that show.

I fell asleep to the mag video just last week. I love it like no other, that vid shows you how to fix almost anything on a classic mag. I have owned my mag since 2000 but i still watch the video just for kicks. :)

You thinkThe DM# series look like Air Jordans instead of a paintball marker.
You wanted to grow up and be just like team Navarone.
You teamed up to go against a KP rifle.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHhhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahaha

Man I was so convinced. Tom did an awesome job at that, and everyone believed him because 'he's Tom! He knows everything!'

Sheesh I was about to buy one right before he posted and said it was a joke.. I wonder how many he sold :D

I dont know if that is more of an old skool list than an automag freak list. :)

By the way, for those left clueless about #4...

11. You knew what size o-ring to put on the end of your crown point to "quiet" it down....

First off, the Crown Point barrel was, is, and WILL ALWAYS WILL BE the most accurate barrel EVER.... FOOORRRREEEVVERRRR. I had one on my old RT Original and it capped muppets back in the 90s.

Other qualifiers are:

- If you ever cut your fingers working on your gear, ductape is always there for you.
- ..... duct tape IS your best friend.

Tom said-
The airflow reversal gremlins got you again!
For some reason that made me laugh.
(now I want a crown point barrel just because of that... :( )

You might be old skool if.....

your first 10 man tournament was an "open" event, meaning the new varieties of "semi's" could play alongside the trusted and completely accurate pump guns. For me, that was 1992.

yeah.....old skool.

Oh and if your current project gun is a Eurofeed Classic RT with AGD pump kit, VL2000/Shredder, and 6Pak, you might just be oldschool.

I remember California Magnum paint before the QC went down the crapper. It shot so good through my brass barreled 007. That and Stinger paint by Line SI.

Wow, I need to break out my PS15 Marauder and shoot it a bit the next time I go play. I used it once at a scenario not long ago and a few guys said I couldn't use it because it was magazine fed.

When RPS wasn't just a NPS product.

When 10 man was still cool

When it was probounce

When FPO was the rule

When everyone started with pumps

When the average player was older than 18

When nitrogen was hard to find

When BBT still did cockers right.

When you could play with JUST goggles

ETC, ETC, etc.....

I used to think I wasn't old school........ I guess I am.

How about if you ever "chunked" a ball in your barrel because your "agitator" wasn't dropping the balls quick enough for you (many, many times...) :headbang:

so do you qualify as an old fogey if you still have one.....and have been known to use it in the event of chops?

And by the way: the Crown Point kicks major boo-tay! :headbang:
