If you're getting sound but no video, try downloading mplayer (available for both windows and linux):

http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html

For windows, download the binary and all the codec packs, and unzip into a common mplayer folder. You can create a mplayer shortcut on the desktop, then just drag-and-drop downloaded files onto the shortcut.

The player doesn't have a slick gui for windows yet, but it'll play literally everything. Much better than media player or quicktime, IMO.

Nicely done :)

When I get mine smoothed and finished (a way off yet) I'll post some nice pictures....

it's not going to look 100% P90, but I figure it will be close enough

going to be running mine on air, so the whole stock is being removed to make way for the bottle on mine (68/45)...

but congrats, looks good!

Hey Skoad
I have a question about the clip.
How many rounds does it hold?
Does it have a spring system?
And last where did you get the airsoft gun from?

I really like this mod

Non functioning/broken P90 airsoft guns turn up on ebay every now and then, they can be had for as low as $20 in shipping, thats where my sister got hers for her SG1 costume.

Much like hoppers, you can also buy replacement shells directly from the manufacturers.

I actually bought a working one off ebay. I think it was 35 or something including shipping.

I'm back home on spring break so i don't have the gun here with me but the feeding is made out of probably 2 1/4 - 10 round tubes so lower 20's on the ball count. I'm still waiting on the springs

Sorry for the nub question But is it a airsoft gun or did you mod it to paintball?

He cut the shell to fit around a 'Mag, I believe.

Man, that isn't a high ammo capacity...

Could you double-stack two of the "magazines"? Have the upper clip drop-feed into the lower.

Remington
03-26-2005, 06:57 PM
Granted it's not a 50 round magazine like the real thing, but I think the 20 shot magazine is more realistic than say, a hopper. Incredbile job Skoad!

Skoad
03-26-2005, 06:59 PM
i have no idea how you would power a double stack magazine

SAW
03-26-2005, 07:09 PM
Since attachments are fubar, I'll try and explain...

Take your spring-loaded system and put it up top. Cut a hole in the bottom of the upper magazine, another in the top of the lower magazine. As the marker fires, the lower section of the stacked mags is filled with the paint from the upper magazine. The only problems would be

A) The balls feed incorrectly when transfering from top to bottom magazines. This could possibly be solved through the use of an elbow of some sort.

B) The spring doesn't pack enough energy to completely empty the top magazine. You would either be forced into getting a tougher spring (which could damage paint) or just going SC: rock-and-cock.

Hope this clears it up.

Either way, it's a piece of art!

i'm probably going to sell it after spring break, don't really have energy/time to finish it completely.

could put a q loader where the 20 rounds clip is, it would still be like a magazine, but higher capacity

What else needs to be done to it? It looks done to me. :tard:

A Q-Loader would be great to put there but its much wider then the P90 frame and would look out of place on top. A possible location would be the butt stock.

still need springs to power the feed system (if i can find the right springs), probably need to do something better with the feeding too right now its pretty haggard, recoat the body and barrel and add clear coat, and some basic finishing touches

wow dude im doing the same thing lol. Got the p90 of ebay like a month ago, made the measurements, but i just cant cut it til i order a qloader. The only difference will be i am not going to cut into the p90 trigger frame. i m goin to use the stock p90 safety and trigger,
and mount the qloader on the back right side.
great fabin by the way. gg
